  • Here are the 2 bootcamps I most recommend!
From Lyft Driving To A Quarter Million In Tech (In Under A Year)
CourseCareers is self paced. You can finish it in 3 weeks or 3 months. They offer tech sales roles only & are partnered with tech companies, so they’re usually able to get you a tech career quickly or a paid internship (up to $21/hr) while you wait to get hired on.
They only offer courses for people in North America. They’re just $449 with my discount code that gives you $50 off!
    Discount Code: Cyrus50

    coursecareers....
Careerist (the bootcamp I chose) courses are 4 weeks long, virtual and are 8pm - 10:30pm Sun- Thur (Eastern). They record their classes In case you miss any. They are not partnered with tech companies, but they fix your resume & LinkedIn to industry standards and they apply to 5 companies a day for you & set you up on interviews.
They also do interview coaching & provide really good interview cheat sheets. They’re $4k, but I have a $300 discount link that you use with their sales too! The discount Is attached to the link automatically. They sometimes offer courses to non Americans.

Thank GOD for you, man. I’m 31 years old, no car, I make $16 an hour and my wife has left me. I have been breaking down in tears and struggling with wanting to just end it. I’ve been praying for change every day, and I came across your short about your daily routine. It caught my eye because you were the first one to include scripture in your routine. I started watching your videos and sales engineering sounds like the direction I’ve been praying for. I planned on grinding up and jumping into Careerist, but having watched this and learning about CourseCareers I’m about to jump in THIS MONTH. I’ll be checking in with you, but I have a feeling my life is about to change, and I want you to know that it started here. 60k a year would be life changing to me. Thank you so much for sharing your blessings with this information.

@@mentallyuntouchable2918 do you really think that they are a scam though? My definition of a scam is offering a service that does not deliver what you are signing up for. I have 0% sales experience, and if it gives me any amount of knowledge to reflect on or offer in an interview, then that’s exactly what I’m needing.

@@techisthenewblack I'd love to see how these so called "testimonials" are doing considering how the tech is doing mass layoffs across the board as VC funding is wearing down. It's also quite easy to reccomend the bootcamp route when you're financially incentivized to do so. Hope the money was worth selling your integrity.

I did certifications and bootcamps. No college. Work in Cyber security then transition to Software. SPLUNK was my 1st big company. The tech bootcamp is way better to me. You save money and if you want to get a college degree let the company who hires you pay for it through Tuition reimbursement. You do Sale Engineering. I know a lot of Sale Engineer. I am a Consultant Architect for Splunk and now for Elastic. I love your story. Certs is a game changer. AWS certs, SPLUNK certs, Elastic certs, CompTIA, GOOGLE Cloud. Also George Washington University Bootcamp for coding and Data Science bootcamp.

  • @JSickaRabid
    @JSickaRabid ปีที่แล้ว +3

Okay, so I’m the middle-aged white woman, trying to figure out how to reinvent herself.
First off, I love that your target demographic is the POC community for all the reasons you stated, and on a selfish note, bc so many of my family members, including one of my grandsons, are POC. I want my family to prosper, so spreading the word about great opportunities to help lift people up is doing God’s work indeed!Thank you for that!
That being said, I spent all day watching this video, rewinding over and over, taking notes, praying and pondering - for myself. Until recently, I’d never considered a career in tech, and your videos were suggested when I searched for “work from home.” The tag line for this one reeled me in.
I’m intrigued, and eager to learn more. Problem is, I don’t even know what the descriptions of these different occupations are! When I graduated high school in 1985, computer class was in its very first year, and I ignored it, opting instead for “secretarial class,” because I thought at the time that would be more useful. Yup!
The bulk of my career experience has centered around customer service and inside sales. I do know my way around basic office and CRM programs, but I fear that ANY tech bootcamp may be over my head. Further, the thought of interviewing in a field where I have absolutely NO experience that I can demonstrate is concerning, like “yeah, well you did the bootcamp, but where’s your practical experience to put your money where your mouth is?” Did you encounter anything like that? How did you overcome it?
Still, this field and the amazing opportunities are resonating with me, and your story is inspiring. That alone is enough for me to push past all the negative self-talk and learn more. I NEED something better than $20/hr that can take me through the next decade or more to retirement. I’m going to spend some time researching and exploring the different positions I see offered in these bootcamps so I can better understand the job descriptions and select a path that will capitalize on the skillsets I DO have.
Thank you again for your uplifting story, and although I don’t fit within your target demographic, I want you to know that you helped me as well, and I am grateful. I’ll be following you, and as a mom and a grandma who wears her heart on her sleeve, I’ll eagerly be watching for your continued successes and cheering you on. Hopefully in time, I’ll have a success story of my own to share! God bless you! 🥰🙏🏼

I love what you just said. About learning on your phone that has been my life for the past 11 months. I know there is no execuse for someone saying you cant learn because they dont have a latop and God works sees my effort . I got a friend who lends me her latop over the weekend for me to finish my projects and keep learnjng coz she is working over weekdays. And I know i will get my own laptop soon. So if someone wants to learn they will do it even on their phones. I am doing Backend software development at ALX under holbertln school doing my final month since its 1 year program and I will be graduating by the end of the month. I thank God for you. Thank you for motivating me

This video is fire and hits home in soooooo many ways, Cyrus!!!! Bless you indeed brother, for sharing your heart, your story, and so much more. I'm very grateful, for how the Lord allowed me to be connected to your ministry of poetry, yearssss ago.( I'm talking like 2014) We are all story books being written and read. God's glory for what He has on your life and in your journey relates in many cavities in my life, even down to the age of when certain things transpired. Wow, huge bless up. The visual of you as a vessel just shows just how possible and close it is to step into a whole new season of blessings to change our life. May God continue to bless what he has given you and keep honoring him. May He help you keep what he has given, by his strength!! In Jesus Christ name. Amen

Okay I have to say man I just discovered your channel because I been putting off getting into tech, and now im interested again. The fact that I’m having to give up one thing in order to go for something new in my life that can help me and make me feel better about myself takes alot. I’m an artist and photographer and I can relate to your story. Your story sounds exactly like mine. I just turned 30 i’ve been a photographer since I was in high school f the only time i got a buzz was in 2018- 2020. When the pandemic hit me hard mentally and financially I basically lost the interest to create again and right around the time me and my ex broke up i took a break because I ended getting evicted. I’m at this point where I feel like I’m doing way too much trying to be this known photographer. I lost my apartment downtown two years ago And it’s crazy because I’m currently living with grandma and I’ve been here for a year jumping job to job in retail and having to sell my motorcycle basically being carless. I still go out and meet girls and stuff like that but I feel embarrassment and shame. So I don’t really go out anymore. I only have two close friends. everybody else bailed on me when I lost my place. But it’s good to hear your story and it sounds similar to mine and gives me the confidence to pursue tech as a new career choice. So thank you and God Bless.

Hey! Unless you are going to be a programmer/developer, tech companies don’t offer many part-time, 2nd or 3rd shift jobs. It's a standard 9 - 5 remote schedule. I answered this more in one of my FAQS Playlists!
