Something these youngsters will never understand or grasp is the fact Jordan didn't only Influence his teamates to be better but he Influenced the entire sports world to be better. Jordan had to teach lessons to Kevin Garnett, Reggie Miller, and Gary Payton. If Ja played back then or if Jordan played now, he would have to teach him a lesson too.
Absolutely! But I think MJ would like Ja as he's kinda like from the same mold, not that he's MJ level, but the mentality. Even after retirement, in his 40s, MJ still taught some of the young ones a lesson, guys like OJ Mayo, Corey Benjamin, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, to name a few.
Sucks man, missed out - I had the same issue with Kobe missed his entire career essentially because I was rooting against him. Also didn’t get a lot of the games being on the east coast

I’ve just never seen an athlete that could up their game like that almost every time when opponents, coaches, media, fans, etc said something negative about him. It was almost movie-like. This is the one aspect of MJ’s game that’s not really focused on like it should be-it’s actually one of the main reasons that sets him apart from all athletes no matter the sport.
To tap into that zone can't always be done consciously. Jordan realised that so at times he would find reasons to activate that next level. Sometimes he even made up stories. Jordan always performed at his absolute best when he felt he had something to prove

Nick, I’m a Bulls and MJ fan 1st for all time, but I live near near Indy and rooted for the Pacers, but not like I did for the Bulls. After MJ retried in 98’ Reggie would have a couple more runs, and make the Finals in 2000. Somewhere along that time Miller’s house in Indiana was burnt to the ground, and he lost everything in it. Reggie collected all things NBA, including a LOT of Michael Jordan memorabilia which I heard at the time was irreplaceable it was so extensive, and Reggie being who he is really never told anyone about what he lost, except a couple people. The GOAT heard this, and it’s said that almost every item that could be replaced was sent to Reggie by the man himself.
I'll never forget the Reggie Miller series. That was some incredible basketball. Reggie was an assassin in his own right, but Michael always took it to that next level. The Reggie push off, too funny. You know that made Mike mad.

You had me at “The Glove” Used to love watching the Super Sonics play. Payton, Kemp, and the whole team was fun to watch. I wished Nate’s back wasn’t hurt.
MJ is the standard for winning and Greatness. Like Tiger Woods is the Jordan of Golf and the list goes on and on. All of his peers saying don't talk trash against Mike, men that same fear and respect doesn't exist anymore for the past decades.
Grew up a Pacers fan, but we had WGN on cable. I snuck watched every Bulls game broadcast. Something I'm so glad I got to see on TV and once the man in person. He seemed even faster in person.
I've said this before -- MJ never took a night off. You could make a "career highlight" film out of every game he played. He will always be my GOAT, because he was the most fun and entertaining player I've ever watched.

I think what makes Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T. is, preseason game, this new kid has managed to make it one of the greatest preseason games in history. I guarantee he earned Michaels respect because he was willing to "play" to win no matter whether it counts or not. Pushed Michael to play like he loved the game, even in preseason.
I freaking haaaated Reggie Miller watching him play, but he’s actually a pretty humble dude with a good sense of humor. I remember as a little kid seeing them win that game when he pushed off MJ like that and thinking that was the most egregious missed call in ALL of sports I’d ever seen to that point… went home from my friend’s house pissed the Bulls lost that night. MJ impacted basketball as much as he did the NBA. You've got about 2 decades of talent spawned off Air Jordan, plus the Kobe extension to 2 decades & most Kobe disciples don't even realize he copied MJ's game while adding bits of other legends to make himself the only legend with the right to be mentioned in MJ's stratosphere. MJ was hell to play because he was there to dominate you every night, by default, then you either pissed him off or he just got hot.😂

Not just basketball but life in general. Youngster absolutely do not have any respect for older guys with far more life experience. Holds true for almost any thing
Amazing thing when you look at this:
Is Mike hasn't played professional ball in over 20 plus years yet people tell stories and are excited to tell the stories the people and laugh and speaks so highly.
That's what goat status is it's out of respect and still many of the ex-player's are in awe when they talk about what he did
How about all those great bron stories you hear from other players.... Oh wait you don't unless he's telling them himself like when he side the proclaim himself the goat without a vote 🤣🤣
Reggie Miller and GP were great players... Especially GP, his defense was one of a kind... I don't see it in today's NBA...
Black Ice from the Port Citay. You either were there or you weren't.
Like so many others, that came up with Air Jordan, I never get tired of hearing this stories.
He thrived on trash talk. He took it personal and motivated himself into being a beast on the court. Evidence is in every game someone said shit to him lol
Hahaha labron James Whooooo I never heard of him before. 👏👏👏🤣
The true and only GOAT.
Welcome to the NBA 😂😂😂😂😂
I am glad I got to see MJ win 6 championships
I'M GLAD I WAS ABLE TO SEE MJ ENTIRE CAREER!!!!!!! WATCHING BASKETBALL IN DA 80'S and 90's made you appreciate BASKETBALL back then!!!!!! This Era is ENTIRELY to SOFT!!!!!!! LBJ IS GREAT BUT MJ IS AND WAS GREATER THAT'S WHY MJ IS DA G.O.A.T!!!!!!!!!!
He was a absolutely a killer on the floor.if he wanted to he could've beat jaber all time scoring record but he wanted championships.
These stories are coming from NBA Hall of Famers! Not bench players, role players, or just normal players.
hil-larious 🤣👍
Reggie mounted Jordan like a Thai figher, Jordan used some type of Wing Chun move.
MJ was hell to play because he was there to dominate you every night, by default, then you either pissed him off or he just got hot.😂
he just took its personal 😛
LMAO 8:35-8:39
MJ is the best of the best!!!!!!!
