Happy summer to everyone! It's the evening of July 3rd and I'm knitting on a baby blanket and listening to all of the fireworks going off. Loved watching Knit chat tonight. You both are a hoot and great projects too. The yarn and pattern gift away are gorgeous. This summer is all about the socks, DK Vanilla, Shorty Heel Tab socks and Summer Lee’s The Basic B from her Shorty Sock Pattern Set. I’ll miss you Monday as we are going camping. Have a great summer! I love the Knit Chat podcasts; I watch them to keep me company while I knit. I’m currently working on some toe up socks using some stash yarn, but I also have a V-neck cotton silk t-shirt on the needles.
Thank you for another great podcast. That color is so gorgeous. I’m knitting a long cotton I cord and then stitching it into an oval center piece for my kitchen table. It can also function as a hot pad when bringing casseroles to the table.😊
I always get a lot of enjoyment from watching, along with soooooooooooo many ideas! My summer knitting includes socks, birthday sweater for my granddaughter, sweater and hat knitting for my new grandson and of course at least 15 other WIP's!

Lovely podcast - enjoyed watching it very much …. 😁 So exciting to see what you are all working on … I am currently knitting a mosaic-knit shawl called “Puzzle Night", by Helen Cosgrove-Davies, because even though our daytime temps usually reach 30+ Celsius in Northern Australia (in spite of it being our wintertime), the air-conditioning in coffee shops can get very chilly, so a shawl or wrap is essential … 😊 Thanx again for a fabulous episode - really looking forward to the next one. Another wonderful podcast! This summer I am working on knitting for my daughter’s wedding on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. I have 6 shawls for the bridesmaids to complete and 4 capes for the flower girls to make. Enjoy your trip Kelly!
I have been inspired by both of you and I am working to knit Shorty Heel Tab socks, the Quill sweater by Tif Neilan, Woodsmoke sweater, and Mermaid socks by Summer Lee for my grandchildren. Thank you for sharing so many wonderful ideas and the joy of knitting.
You have inspired me to keep on knitting, having all this information on different patterns and yarn is so helpful., I live in the north woods with very few lys.
Thanks for the entertainment and great knitting too :) This summer, a pair of socks and some sonder muse yarn will be either a staple linen tank or the Noni Tee. After winding the yarn, it feels like it wants to be a Noni Tee.

Great podcast. I am busy with knitting the 5 days of sockmas for relatives as advent gifts. Seemed a really brilliant idea in January. Does not seem quite so brilliant now. Amazing how much longer male feet are. Happy knitting everyone.

The pattern is a summertop, Humle-linne by Lene Tøsti, that I modified to a dress.

Catching up the next day-I guess it's welcome to BC for Kelly! You came in time for actual summer weather. Good that you have all those great t's. It is sheer insanity the amount of projects you both get done😂 Love that Colette T- may have added to fav's. I have a new to me designer shawl, plus socks, picked out for some summer knitting, which is the same as my winter knitting, my fall knitting or my spring knitting. Happy summer travel knitting!!
Hi Kelly & Noelle, Thanks for another great knit chat. The longer, the better I say. I just finished the Derecho & I love it! Also on the needles is another Sommerknus in Berroco Remix Light and shorty socks. I am very tempted by the Heel Tab shorties, They are super cute!
What am I working on for the summer? Socks for Christmas in July and August, finishing test knits for winter garments, spinning for TdF, a shawl or 2, reworking my Corrrie In poncho because it is scratchy on the neck, Weaving on my rigid heddle loom. Whew!
Another great podcast. I always learn so much. In this +30 degree weather, I’m knitting ahead for a late fall trip to Scandinavia where I will need a scarf, headband and fingerless mitts. I’m currently knitting JST Designs’ Dublin Fog scarf which I think will be perfecct to shield me from the Nordic winds. Thanks for introducing me to her and her beautiful designs.
You two always have a variety of projects and I am so inspired at the end of knit chat. I am trying to get few gifts ready for Christmas. I have three pairs of socks and a hat on the go. Great seeing all your makes ladies. This summer I’m knitting The Bermy Basic 20 by Beth McDonald Stone and knitting a few baby Flax Sweaters for gifts. Plus I’m always knitting on socks throughout the year. Plus I’m crocheting wash clothes for the family for Xmas, I usually crochet around 100 so everyone can have 5 or 10 each. I start around this time of the year so they’re finished by the beginning of December. Have a great trip Kelly visiting your grandson and family and have a fantastic summer Noelle.

On a road trip this week to New Mexico and Colorado so lots of sock knitting going on. Got a plan to use up off the left overs of my self striping yarn to knit lots of Rose City Rollers Socks. Should have 2 pairs done by the time I get home. The longer the live the more knitting time!! Keep it up!
Have been watching for awhile. Enjoyable! I am an improving late beginner knitter! Right now I am knitting the Gramps sweater from Tin Can Knits for a grandson and a pair of Roots Run Deep socks by Kay Litton (Crazy Sock Lady). Have never made a summer top for myself…but your lovely knits are inspiring me!

Hello! The drive in was such a part of my childhood and also my children. We have one very close to where we live. They always played a kid show followed by an adult version. We would put the kids in the front seats to watch their movie and then switch when the adult show started. Lots of great memories . Currently finishing my second tolsta tee, this one is with stripes. Love this part of my week! I recently bought a few different sock yarn bases from knit picks and am working my way through them to find a new favourite. I have a stroll mini pack, used once for heels so far, working out well. Their Hawthorne is beautiful. Lovely chat, thanks!

Hi ladies. I‘ve watched this just in time to not miss that the next live is going to be in a few hours. 😅 My goal is to finish up a lot of knitting that I started last summer as I put the summer knits away for the winter knits. But now they‘re back on my needles and I‘m hopeful that they won‘t languish (is that the correct English term?🤔) for another year. At the moment I‘m working on a summer tee when I’m at home and when I’m out I have my socks with me. I also took crocheting my bomber cardigan back up. Once I‘ve finished the tee and the cardigan a rainbow summer dress is waiting for me. And I need to catch up on your last 3 episodes… So lots of knitting to enjoy for me. 😂 I wish you all a nice summer and happy knitting!!!

I immediately went searching for the pattern. Now I have to decide which pattern to knit for the new kal/mal. That quill tee Kelly was wearing is also in my queue! Decisions, decisions😄
Fun as usual! I'm spending this summer on a shorty sock kick, but also knitting matching unbearable hoodies for my niece and her soon to be daughter.
It was another fun and informative episode. Thank you. It seems I'm all about the accessories right now. This summer I'm working on the Hasukai cowl, socks and I'm considering starting another Bescarfed scarf. I just finished one and it's the perfect gift. The stitch pattern looks good on both sides and it's easy to wear.

My summer projects on the needles currently are a Love Note (hem and sleeves remain), and some Put A Little Love in Your Heart socks (finishing one toe + need to finish one heel & foot. Up next: Salty Air tee, and Soho top...and if I still have time this summer I will also start another Tolsta or a Lotus Lake tee. So much knitting, so little time. :)

Through a hot June, I finished two long sleeved wool sweaters (Autumn Alpine and Felix Pullover). Now that they are finished, and I am prepared for fall, I am knitting shawls (Hundred Acre Wood and Simple Lines) which are much lighter in my lap. I am also knitting socks. But I am almost always knitting socks. And I just ordered Dishie because dishcloths are good hot weather, carry along projects. I also ordered two skeins of Woodnote because you made it sound so good.

Always look forward to your videos. Kelly, Smithers is a very small town but the surrounding wilderness and wildlife is spectacular. I am currently working on the Wilfreda sweater to get a head start on fall knitting as my friend and I are flying across Canada in October to attend the PEI fibre festival!
