great knit & chat night as always, thx
Hi this is Michelle from New Zealand - I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your podcast - you knit interesting patterns that appeal to me a lot as opposed to the same Danish patterns that some podcasters seem to stick to. Also, Noelle, your rescue from when you hurt yourself here in New Zealand has just aired on the Rescue Helicopter documentary - I was like "I know that lady" even though I have not met you in person - I watch you often. I have watched your podcast ever since that time - as well as Lisa's Knit and Unwind With Me podcast... Thanks for such a great podcast....
Thanks so much for spending time with us. I heard that the episode was up, we don’t have access here in Canada, but Lisa sent me a few snippets from it. Did you see Ross holding my knitting bag 😂 he used it to flag the helicopter
You girls are like a breath of fresh air and very welcome. I live in New Zealand and its Winter. The temperature is 10 at the moment and we had a negative 1 frost but it is warming up. I don't know how you get so much knitting done, I live on my own and knit in the afternoon and night time. You two are like machines. Thank you for your calm and positive attitude. Take care.
snap I was just about to say I'm in New Zealand and it's 10 degrees.
Lovely knits as always. Enjoy seeing all the socks. Love Kelly's notion pouch. Have a great time with your family.
I'm so glad you talked about those heel tab socks because I really want to knit them! Omg and those granny square chickens!!
My brother and I hide Rhinos back and forth at each other's houses. They were from a collection that belonged to my grandfather. It's a great way to remember him.
One of the things I have learned about flying and needles, if you come with a self addressed stamped envelope the security people will take your needles and put them in the envelope to mail them back to you. They are reasonable and most airports have a mail box to put letters in, so it is not a big deal for them to help you out. I have had them ask me to surrender a small pair of scissors and they were more than happy to mail it for me. So there was no loss for me. You have to be calm and ask nice.
Hi ladies I am watching this a couple days later. Miles is so cute. Both your finished tops are so beautiful! The chicken is cute!! And the socks are great. The tea towels are lovely. All the WIPs are great. You ladies are always an inspiration for knitting sweaters! The cookie video is so darn cute .
Kelly, the cookie snippet with Miles was very cute :))
Nicole! That violet yarn is incredible! It will be so becoming on you. Love it!! Kelly, Your sweet little love Miles. What a special time for you. They change and grow so fast. Best podcast ever. Kelly , your Tolsta is sooo good. Great color on you. i don't really think there is a bad color for you, though. Thank you for sharing all the goodies.
Noelle, that colour is wonderful on you! Love the sweater pattern too.
When weaving with a slippery yarn we will un-ply the end that needs to be sewn or woven in and then sew in the 2 or 4 different plies. This way they really lock in. I think it would also work well on a bamboo yarn. Thank you for another great knit chat. 🥰
❤fun podcast again ,,,🎉🎉🎉
So sweet Myles,,,, 🤩
Love all ur makes,,,
Too hot ,,,so working early this morning on socks,,,just started to rain ,,,
Congratulations to winner,,,,
Elaine 🏠💕
So hot in New Jersey, USA too! I wanted to thank you both for including the folks who don’t make the live broadcast in the giveaways. So thoughtful of you! 😊
Thanks for spending time with us, we really appreciate everyone who watches, whether live or after
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your visits here! It makes me smile- I get my coffee, my knitting and my notebook! And seeing Myles! What a treat ! Have a great summer you two - “see you next Tuesday “!
One thing this hot weather is good for is things dry really fast. I'm taking the opportunity to do a winter shawl wash rotation:) Stay cool, all those in a heat wave. Thanks Noelle & Kelly for another dizzifying array of crafts😅 and happy summer crafting!!
Wow! Smithers. We were fishing at the river near Smithers. But anyway you ladies are the greatest.
Thank you so much ladies! I very nearly made the live this week, but sadly duty called and I missed out. Oh well, it sure was nice taking a little "me" time and watching after the event. Loved the Sabai tee and the Rib It socks - promptly purchased both … 😂 Looking forward to the next episode …. Hugs from Down Under 🥰 P.S. Miles is just adorable! Reminds me of making strawberry cake with my granddaughter when she was little. Not many strawberries made it into the cake! ❤
Here in central Alberta we have been having between 30-35 C. Have to walk the dogs before 7:00 AM. Great podcast
Thanks ladies for more inspiration and fun. I’ve never had my needles taken away at the airport but I did have a security guard suggest I don’t take my knitting into a music festival. I asked to talk to his superior and my knitting went in. I was a little shocked!
Fabulous episode. I have always said I’m not a sock knitter but you have convinced me I should try This fall I will cast on a pair of socks.
Chile will take your knitting needles. She did give me time to put the work on floss/safety thread.
Kelly, I am also knitting the Sabai Top No. 1 using Sandnes Line. It does knit up very quickly, if you don't allow your husband to vacuum up near your knitting corner!! Luckily, I just learned how to ladder back. i did have to make sure that I marked my increase rows so that they would be the same front and back.
Great episode. Just send the heat across the Atlantic. It has been about 15°c here in the UK and it keeps raining. It is a good job I have my crafting to keep me occupied. Enjoy your trip Kelly. 🇬🇧
Just watched the episode tonight! (Tuesday) because I forgot that you were on live on Monday! Great episode as always ladies.
What a great podcast again, I'm a regular viewer and you are my favourites to watch. I'm in NZ where yes it's cold at the moment, frosty start to a beautiful day close to Mt Egmont in Taranaki. I'm leaving for a 2 wk holiday in US and Canada on Sunday. So please keep that sunshine turned on!
Hello pals!!!! Catching on the replay per usual…LOL Here in Washington DC we are on the midst of this horrid heat wave of 105-100 degrees. Her I am knitting a short sleeved Tecumsah because of enabling from the Rhinebeck crew😅. As this episode went on I added 3 new patterns and ordered 2 sweater quantities of yarn! 🧶 I love spending time with you every week!! Thank you for you: 💙
Thanks for being such an amazing friend of the podcast Karen, we loved meeting you in Toronto, Montreal next year???
❤❤❤
Hi ladies, it’s a lot cooler in Scotland it was 18 deg Celsius today and that was cosy for Scotland we don’t usually go over 28 deg Celsius on a heatwave. Love youre podcasts I’m running behind watching it’s Friday,
I keep a few patterns photos I fancy doing on my phone, and if I see anything I can check how much I need. I do go off list though lol. I went looking for yarn for a shawl test knit I’m doing which was just a one skein of sock weight wool so I left with sweater quantity of sport weight for petite knits anchor cardigan don’t know why I’ve got one not finished right now 😂 didn’t know I was going to knit another till I came out of shop 😂. Love the Saabi tee I may need to go looking for yarn for it on Monday. If you love shawls ladies check out under the olive tree knits. The patterns are beautiful. Xx
There are just so many beautiful yarns and amazing designers out there, it makes it so hard to choose.
Great knit night thank you ☕️😊🧶
Thank you for your podcast😊. I don’t watch you on time, because I‘m from Germany / Bavaria. But every week I look forward to Wednesday, when I can watch you. It‘s always nice to be with you in your big cafe😊
Greetings from Germany, Vroni
Hi Kelly and Noelle! Thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring 'early' episode!
Myles is adorable and growing up so fast! Safe travels Kelly...enjoy camping and your visit with your mother! Happy Knitting to all. Stay safe and keep 😎 cool everyone!
I’ve flown a lot and only had my needles taken away from me in Mexico. It was removing my 240 linen stitch scarf to surrender my expensive skacels. I was not happy but knew there was nothing I could do. My daughter and friend started to argue with the TSA person. I calmly told them to go ahead before they made it a worse situation. I didn’t loose one stitch thank heavens. It’s a crap shoot for sure.
Watching replay! I wanted to do a crochet granny chicken but didn't get a chance. I frogged a sock today. It wasn't turning out.
Have a great week!
It’s Tuesday at seven because OF COURSE I forgot it was switched to Monday 😂. Still so fun to watch girls!
I made the Kuutar Tee by Sari Nordland...it was a great pattern but you need to like knitting lace 😊
I take metal needles every time that I fly
Kelly…now I want to hide all my chickens in my parents house for them to find!! 😅
It’s been so awfully hot here in the states, west coast area just above Northern California, we have had 116 decrees Fahrenheit and over 100 now for more than a week. It been awful
New Designer: Try Autumn Acorn. Judy has beautiful patterns! I loved knitting & love wearing her "Pajama Cardigan." I'm crocheting her Nutiden yarn throw/ blanket & it also is a lovely pattern. Take a look at her designs!🥰❤️🧶
In japan i had my knitting project taken, put in a bag and I had to pick it up as a duitcase on the belt. It was Even on a domestic flight
I think you're thinking of Hundred Acre Wool for Nutaden patterns.
Mel Makes Stuff podcast has a video with 5 methods of joining linen yarn. I use the magic knot and have never had one come apart. th-cam.com/play/PLjWMc-RvAQDP6SgEJtUs7Mnhjprvzt3uO.html&si=LeWRKICElWWY78X6
It's "Cutie-Cookie Time!"😅
I always us the alternating cable cast on and its twin for casting on and off the other methods are just a pain in the neck to me
I was coming back to Los Angeles and they took my needles 20$ luckily they cut the cord and tied it over 300 stitches on a shawl Mexico will take them wooden are not detectable on xray
Thanks for everyone’s thoughts about plane travel and knitting tools. I bought some bamboo needles at the thrift store, so if I lose them it won’t be too traumatic! 🧶😉 cheers
Great fun to join you two ladies again! I'm knitting on my test for Beth MacDonald Stone, the Sea Swell Tee, using Linen and some merino. Have fun with the rest of your BC time, Kelly, and great to see your mind boggling socks adventures Noelle! The family socks are really dedication, one I will admit that I wouldn't want to tackle, lol. Have a lovely week you two! Cheers until next time, Judith 💜💚
Thanks Judith, the Sea Swell tee will look amazing
