    Oddly enough the actor who player Ichtar in the Peter Davidson Silurian story was a maths and drama teacher in my school (Norman Comber). I asked him for his autograph when I was in school to put it in my VHS video cassette of the story. He actually thought I was joking and threatened me with detention. Years after leaving school I saw him in Tesco and asked him a second time, this time he realised I was serious all those years ago and I got it written on the back of a Tesco receipt. I still have it all these years later :)

    But did the Silurians every interact with the Ice Warriors? But were highly advanced in the past on neighboring planets.

    so is the original silurians also a sub-species like the sea devils as the most common type of silurian seems to be the 2010 redesign

      Ontos Yes, like there are many different breeds of dogs, that’s why Silurians look different.

      I think of it like different ethnicities. just like how some humans have different features suited to their ancestors environments, so to do different groups of silurians have different features suiting them to each of their environments.

    Humans as lifestock? There is not enough meat on those things.
    And by the time the first humans emerged, all non-avian dinosaurs had been extinct for 65 million years already. (Or 63 million years if you count great apes as human.)
    A planetoid would hardly be able to pull the atmosphere off a planet. Not even one the size of the moon.
    So much of the back-story doesn't make any sense.
    But what bothers me the most is that the ostensibly pacifistic Doctor apparently committed genocide and mass murder on the Silurians.

    • @somerandomguy2073
      @somerandomguy2073 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      David Wührer: Only a complete pacifist during the RTD era. The Seventh Doctor manipulated Davros into accidentally destroying Skaro's entire solar system. I think the good-guy Thals who live there might be a bit annoyed about being wiped out.

      What if the moon was by some accident thrown away from orbit of some different planet or it was some asteroid which they could see as the small planet. Something could change trajectory from hitting Earth on stable orbit.
      Silurian civilization could exist from beginning of the era of dinosaurus and count that they can live very long so high knowledges gained so that scientist could cause evolution of human beings.

    • @davidwuhrer6704
      @davidwuhrer6704 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@czechemperortextstory2926 Planets are not billiard balls.
      According to the only tangentially related Silurian hypothesis, extraterrestrial life could have influenced tellurian evolution. Even to the point of genetic engineering, or things we can't even imagine.
      That still wouldn't make humans good livestock.

    • @czechemperortextstory2926
      @czechemperortextstory2926 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidwuhrer6704 It's only my theory about the moon and what if abnormal decreasment of gravity could slowly send that moon away and after gaining speed from edge of gravity fields (edge of stable orbit) of others planets and subjects to gain speed to cause big danger.
      What if primitive apes were more like animals for hunting than for livestock. They taste couldn't be so good but hunting them was fun for them. Scientist could decide to improve their taste by genetic engineering.

    Imagine in a parallel universe, some of the Silurians have awaken from their hibernation. They are shock to find the presence of another dominant sentient race on the surface. This race are the Humans. Humans are found to be by the Silurians to be a race a lot like them. Yet, the humans have a young civilization extremely divided into different societies. Oddly when the Silurians have learn that many of the human societies have a series of common myths about an individual who is often known as the Doctor. Oddly, the Silurians find out that the Doctor is a Time Lord who has passion for the planet Earth. In this parallel universe, the Doctor's strong passion for Earth is ironic due to the fact that she was born on Earth instead on the home of her father's ancestors Gallifrey.
    Oddly, the Doctor's father is a member of a colony of Gallifreyians on Earth. The Silurians decide to contact some humans to find more about the mythical Doctor. Oddly, the colonists discover the awakening of the Silurians. The Colonists told the Silurians that the Doctor is a real person. The Doctor has a Gallifreyian colonial father and a human mother. Ironic, the Doctor is fond of two nations. One nation is the nation where her mother's ancestors have came from. The second nation is the nation where she was born. The first nation is Japan. The second nation is the United States. From the colonists, the Silurians learn about the United States is a young and powerful nation struggling with many divisions.
    The Silurians who have awaken are ironic are within the young nation of the United States. As a result of the Constitution, the Silurians have found out that are American citizens. The Silurians have learn how important the Doctor is. While the Doctor is her co name, she goes by another name. Yet the Doctor is known to be comfortable with her set of three names. The Doctor does have a few encounters with the Silurians. Oddly, the city of the American Silurians happens to be in a Native American Indian Reservation and a large ranch own by the Doctor's own family. Over time, other Silurians have awaken from the slumber. they learn of the mythical Doctor. These Silurians quickly learn that they can't fully trust most humans. Yet, they do realized that they can trust the Colonists, and some of the Humans as well as the Doctor herself.
