i feel like im enjoying this one way more than everyone else idk why. i think its different in a refreshing way, not sure how to put my finger on it but it clicked with me immediately
Really happy that Porter is just having fun and being a little "unserious" with the singles he's been releasing so far. Production still feels very much within his realm and this song in particular has that cute Nurture flare in the vocals :)
It's been raining where I live almost non stop for a week. The sun was out today and I couldn't stop playing this song while I drove around with the windows down
People sadly still haven't realized that every single album from Porter sounds VERY different and that he doesn't want to make the same style more than once.
[wrong emote, it's :D] A bit of an interesting one here. If anything, this is kind of like his former sound like when he was starting out, combined with the Nurture-pitched vocals. Someone on the original vid interpreted the lyrics really well, and I have to agree. It's the most unique, and I have to get a more in-depth listen because I heard it before going into work, so I'll come back! EDIT: It's really difficult to describe. It's a bit more chill, but still relatively unique within in his new style. Production is more relaxed, which is not something we really get coming from Porter. But, to tell you the truth, I could vibe with it. I feel like this wouldn't be for everybody, but it's an interesting concept on this one. I think this might go above Knock Yourself Out XD, and below Russian Roulette. I'll give this time to grow on me.
while yes, i prefer porter's more "out there" tracks like cheerleader way more, this one is such a sweet track to listen to, and has a message i can resonate with. very excited for the album :D
@@BowtiedMedia Oh well. It showed up in best songs, so I'm okay with that. Also, your channel is just a gem for EDM fans. Thanks for doing what you do.
I did not like this one at all tbh. It’s clunky, the production is bafflingly messy and muddy in a way that Porter really shouldn’t be, and his vocals + the hook are so incredibly flat and lifeless. Probably the worst song he’s released imo, still hoping Smile is good but between this and Knock Urself Out I’m really concerned now…
Porters production/mixing style is intentionally messy. And I don't find the vocals lifeless or flat, it's clearly not meant to be a bombastic vocal performance of a track. I like it and it contrasts well with the previous singles.

It feels very nostalgic, kinda the music i'd expect in a retro 90s A24 movie
same here i love it so much...
Just put your finger on the play button.
At first it was like "Oh, probably a Porter song in a while that I don't really like" now I'm listening on loop for 3 hours hahaha
The rest of the singles so far took a while to grow on me but I fell in love with this one instantly
Same
Surprisingly I really like this song, it's super chill and I find it nice to have a more chill track of his in this new era

I don't really get how people would call this bad. I really do vibe with it even on first listen. The synths in the last chorus are beautiful.
I rarely do this, but after my first initial listen, I go straight to loop it for 5x lol

BLISSFUL
Nah this comment section is wildin. Its a chill track yes but still screams Porter. I like it more than Cheerleader and maybe KYO

Probably not

not a big fan of the track rn, however I like the chorus so there's a big change that it'll grow on me
Hi Danial Sanzie
It’s alr
Unfortunately, it's probably one of my least favorite Porter songs in a while

strange that you can't understand things being intentially lofi and muddy. it's obviously a choice lol. people been doing this for decades

It’s not a sound that works for this particular song, just feels awkwardly clunky compared to usual for him
eh i like it, its all subjective anyways :)
