I do agree that the Jet Magnum is way more awesome than the plasma cutter, and it's kind of sad that only the Mk II M has it. However, one cannot deny the awesomeness of having three plasma swords hidden in your forearm.
Gespensts are very Gespensts, there are a lot of gespensts very gespensts for each kind of pilot, gespenst blastaaaa, gespenst KIIIIICKA, gespensts with ammo and riffles, hard as tanks or agile as ninjas, gespensts are more than awesome, they are GESPY.
+Jerome Bustillo gespents are not inherently bad, but its high cost to manufacture(specially command types) makes it unfeasible to be used just by anyone. Kai's gespents was his ever since he is an aggressor. Katina and russels are given to them after giado and garnet settled because katina and russel used to pilot only messers(jets). kyosuke's alt was indeed a gespent but a fully modded, as well as excellen';s weissy. after the dc war and the aerogater incident, the EFA decided to manufacure both lion and hucks instead of the costly gespents. yes gespent is a good mech specially on good pilot. only problem is the cost.
+Kakashi Mugen Katina and Russel used Gespents well before Giada and Garnet did, Kyosuke's Alt wasn't a "fully modded Gespenst", it's literally the Mark 3 (though Excellen's was better), and Huckebeins weren't much cheaper, they were just better for the role of mass production since they have technically better specs - and now they're going to stop mass producing Huckies because the MP ones are literally dying faster than they can make them.
i get your point on katina and russel's gespent. i forgot they have one before giado and garnet did. also about the alt, i guess on some specs yeah weeisy wins. its faster, agile, and is equipped with a real tesla drive "wings" like the later iteration, wurger and falken. what weissy lacks is the supreme firepower the alt can dish out at its perfect range. but combine them and its a perfect match. excellen prefer speed, accuracy and distance than kyosuke's love to melee. not as much as ryusei though or arado's dumb reckless rambo style or piloting.

sure, you can pilot a custom Mass-produced mobile suit, you can have an elite mech, or you can have a one-of a kind gundam, you can have the most BA arm slave around or even bring in weird alien monster things but it'll never look as good as a Gespenst, chances are it doesn't work quite as well either also "GESPENST PAUNCH!!!!!" also gilliam FTW.... because he dodges bullets.....without his Gespenst...
I suppose I can't deny that. At the same time it makes you wish they instead had an attack like the Exia Gundam where it just shoves all it's swords into the enemy.
And they both have epic voices. ...Granted, I haven't heard Gilliam yet but his voice actor always sounds awesome (Leo Aiolia? Star Saber? Donquixote Doflamingo? Vampire Hunter D? CAPTAIN FUCKIN' FALCON.).
i never said gilliam would pilot it, just that it would reappear in the OG verse, because that's where the XN system last pinpointed gilliam's location at, which is how shadow mirror entered the OG world in the first place, but if only gilliam was transported there and not the zweizergain's XN device, then there must have been a way where they were able to reach the OG verse, which i suspect the anchor marker to be gilliam's helios helmet

VERY unlikely, considering that System XN was a key part of XN-Geist and that both machines were destroyed (at least one for sure, the other very likely) and that Gilliam himself stated that he shouldn't have rebuilt the system in the first place (and destroyed it as well). Odds are, Gilliam will NEVER rebuild and/or pilot the Geist ever again.

Only the Mk-I(PTX-001/002/003) and prototype Mk-II Type-Rapidity(PTX-007-1) Gespensts had Plasma Cutters. The Type-Strength(PTX-007-2) and Mass production models(RPT-007) got the Plasma Stakes instead(although they still retained the Plasma Cutters, now stored elsewhere)

Not really. I think Jet Magnum is the defining "cool" aspect of the Genspenst series. Not saying the other Genspenst models aren't cool it's just, Jet Magnum is boss.
TheBancho1 SPOILER ALERT System-XN, a system that when used with another system (can't remember witch one) can dimensional jump, is in Gilliam's Gespenst. He accidentally dimensionally jumped to the OG universe, and The Shadow-Mirrors are after him, as he had the system.
