Oh man, I love the Great Battle SNES game series, when I first saw Compatible Kaiser in a SRW game I got so hyped. Playing those games co-op was a hot fun mess.
Voltes was such a more enjoyable show imo. Combattler is fun but it throws away the one sympathetic antagonist, Garuda, halfway through and ends terribly. Voltes has incredible drama, a great finale, and a better protagonist.
@fireblademaster100 Like it was said above, they were both designed by the same guy (Masami Obari). However, you should know that the Compatible Kaiser is older than both of them, making his debut in SD The Great Battle for the SNES in the 90s.

They could have done SO much with a Crossover with GGGF in there Hell, I'll go so far as to say with the original "Getter" style mech - Getter Robo (Armageddon) in there, it coulda had a "Final Getter Special" involving all these units greenest attacks!

Kouta, Folka and Zengar can pretty much yell out anything with their awesome voices and it'll be instantly epic.
Funny how it originated from a Gundam, Kamen Rider and Ultra man crossover series.
The same could have been said about Gilliam and the Gespenst.
Would be awesome if they all appeared together in a srw game. Especially if you could turn each of them into the pilots of the Compati Kaiser.

I'm with you there. Combattler has the Electronamgnetic Hurricane, it's got chainsaw Yoyo's and can launch Chainsaw's at the enemy.
