My reaction when he turned in OG:

Too bad though,cos his Wildschwein was still available for use but I couldn't change the BGM to Time Diver
One of the most high skilled pilot in the SRW Series.
I remember the 4-Koma where the figured out Ingram must be an alien because what sort of weirdo drinks hot coffee through the stir straws
Same way pretty much. He betrays the good guys and gets a Nendou Bakusaiken through his cockpit for it.
The major difference is that in SRW Alpha (not sure about Shin SRW), Ingram was piloting an insanely awesome machine called Astranagant instead of the kind of eh R-Gun Rivale.

The Wildschwein was a Proof-of-Concept, and was used to develop/test several of Mao's PT technologies (you can see some in 008L/009 and Remote Slasher). It was never intended as a MP model, it was more a combat-capable intermediary. (It might have been re-slated as an MP option, but either the production or maintenance threw cost-to-performance ratio past viability/feasibility. Almost all playable RR are Prototypes, they're mostly still being developed for mass production/tech testing/refining.
To be honest, I NEVER used Ingram cause of something else I played that semi-involved SRT, so I actually gave the Wildschwein to Leona. She turned out to be an absolute MONSTER in that thing, ye gods. She could counter with Disk Slicer and NEVER get hit. My god is that woman broken.

WildSchwein was such a cool mech. I wish you got it in OG2 just to use.

I love Ingram cause 'super hero operations' was the 'first' game that I played on my PSX
i hope WildSchwein and Ingram return to SRW Series once more with this Theme :) :)
Trapster2 It's mostly that they don't think they'll make a profit. From what I understand the originally OG games didn't sell that well (Due in no small part to lack of marketing I'm sure) Whether they could ever sell well here or not (Which I think they could with a good marketing campaign) Banpresto doesn't seem to be willing to take the risk. And when you consider how much it must cost to translate an SRW game it's somewhat understandable, if they didn't sell well I'm sure that would be a *lot* of money lost.
Considering how well SRPG's are starting to gain popularity here thanks to Fire Emblem, I think it MIGHT have a chance to do very well with some marketing, even if it was just in a Nintendo Direct and they could say something like "do you like Strategy Role Playing Games like Fire Emblem and Advanced Wars? Well check out a series that hasn't seen a release in the West since 2006...". I think it really could succeed if more people played it on YT or Twitch to give it some exposure.
I never used Ingram in Wildschwein, put him into a jet with repair module so he could gain exp without stealing my kills.
I sadly realized I had gotten Ingram up to Level 31, rather than 32, so I didn't get the Huckebien 008L, but I'm OK with it. I would have put Latooni in it anyway.
I think I like Ingram better in SRW Alpha simply for the fact that he finally got out of Euzeth's control in the end and is the reason for Cobray Gordon's existence. Ingram is just all kinds of pitiable in OG.
It is mentioned that Prof. Radom went SO overboard on the Alt, that only some as utterly insane and badass as Kyousuke, can actually pilot it in combat and expect to not die by Epic Fail rather quickly. When Kyousuke is first shown the Alt, he calls it the stupidest, most impractical RR he has ever seen. He's a test pilot for Experimental units. The dialogue for its combat debut is Kyousuke trying to figure out how it works. He was thrown in a Gespenst II M and started kicking ass immediately.

It's a shame how Ingram is only playable in OG 1 as I really enjoyed him probably mainly due to this theme, I wish there was a way to keep him without using gameshark codes on the GBA games, but still an amazing theme for a unique character, the only theme that comes close is the one from Alpha 3 the Gun of Dis.
tbh even in the Alpha timeline he's only playable in Alpha 1,though his influence greatly persists in Alpha Gaiden and Alpha 3. I wish we got to see more of that in OG though it seems they're building up to that

@DonQuilolz Sadly Ingram is not in Alpha Gaiden (although IIRC Time Diver is Viletta's theme in that game). He's in the first SRW Alpha, of which there is a very incomplete translation floating around - most of the interface, but not the dialogs.

and apparently you don't understand, almost every character in original generation was the main character ir main villain of another SRW game in the past, Ingram and Villetta were the male and female main character choices for an SRW game a long time ago, but i haven't been able to figure out which one
some are fairly new, Ryusei debuted on the 64.. or PS1, i dunno which appearance came first, but Ingram's been around ALOT longer

@DarkLinkZyw I would say as an alternate theme for Viletta, the way it worked in Alpha Gaiden (before she got "Woman the Cool Spy"). Really, its just an excuse to have this in the game; this song is awesome.

@TheBancho1 That's why I made Ryoto the pilot of Wildschwein. He's very powerful with it. Plus all enemies have a hard time hitting him. I knew Ingram would turn, so I didn't use him that much.

Depends on what game you're playing. In OG1, the Huckebein 008 is one of the best real robots you can get (and it's a perfect fit for Leona). In OG2, however, it was nerfed hard and isnt as good.
Of course, you should upgrade it so it'll show it's power :)
Sadly we can't hear this in game any more. Banpresto killed him.

You want to give Katina an Explosive Stake and Claymores? I offer the same argument Sean did when she requested the Gigan. And the one I gave in my reply to AestivalisSummer. There is no Kill like Overkill, but seriously, I'd at-least wait until somebody managed to push the plot past the Godzilla Threshold (and until Banpresto gives us something more Ridiculously Badass and Broken to put Kyousuke into.) The Riese is considered Broken IN-continuity. A RR that outshines SRs at what they do best.

@DonQuilolz he is, but only the first game's part of it (i believe alpha gaiden is like OGS), really OG is kinda a seperate universe to itself from the rest of SRW, it's where SRW's original main characters go when thier game is through since most do not make recurring appearances, a few might get a second or thid game to show up in but would then dissapear forever if not put into OG
very clever move on Banpresto's part, it's not "the same character", but for all practical purposes it is.
@Chief889 how would you feel if your best friend killed your lover ? what would you do after that if you discover he was mind controlled? and how do you think your friend would feel knowing that he did such a horrible thing in regards of his best friend? ... so Ingram still repent for the sins he committed, and in alpha 3 too he appears as a Spirit to the SRX Team in the last mission saying he's sorry
@DonQuilolz well.... want me to spoil it or not? because i know a little bit about what to expect from OG3 already, here's your hint, it's following the alpha story to some extent, and SRW D's originals are to be added in if i remember right
then the question should be ; why this unit isnt being upgraded whereas gespenst ,which initially has the lower specc , is upgraded?

I gave the Wildschwein to Katina. I placed Leona in a Gespenst Mk II M. I should placed her in the Wildschwein after reading that.

but if it ever did that would be hilarious, but i'd play it specifically to keep the time diver theme forever, i wish i could set that as anyone's theme in OG2...
but if i find Ingram and Villetta's original game..,maybe i can keep listening to it the whole game, plus an excuse to make him OP as hell compared to everyone else, just like i did for Ryusei in OG and Toya in SRW J, and of course Masaki in Masou kishin
Because it's hopelessly outdated...the upgraded Gespenst MK-IIs probably out-perform it. Which is sad, it's one of my favorites. Not to mention: who would use it?

If I remember correctly, their publishers (the ones holding the actual rights) won't allow an English release if it's not also dubbed in English. Good voice actors cost a lot of money, so that's not happening.

Seven years late to reply, but yeah, he's really a bait.
He's a crutch of sorts, even comes with Mercy which leaves his enemies with 1 HP if he delivers a fatal attsck so your weaker characters can killsteal.
Though, I faintly remember you *do* need him to kill a certain number of enemies to get an extra item before he turncoats, which sucks lol
@@sub2suisei As I recall, he needs to be level 32 before the end of scenario 29 in order to unlock the Huckebein 008L. I actually like that the game encourages you to use him even though he turncoats later, I'd probably use him even if he wasn't required for that, just because I really like his character.
The exclusion of Astranagant in OG was much to the misery and woe of pretty much everyone who finds Ingram even slightly tolerable. Doesn't help that Rivale's pretty lame in itself.
Ingram... meeehhhh, I liked him. He is still a scumbag for betraying his subordinates, especially Aya, though.
Masaki is OP in Masoukishin no matter what you do.
He gets all the kills(along with Lune) while other pilots just help.

SPOILERS:
Ingram betrays the SRX team and reveal his true self that he is an Aerogater. So he takes the R-Gun and join up with Aerogater. He is actually an Aerogater named Aleph Barshem, he was being sent to Earth to investigate the Earth Federation activity after Meteor-3 crashed. In the other mission, he turns the R-Gun to R-Gun Rivale which himself only can operate.
