    I think it depends on the goat. We've had goat milk that the cream seperated and we made butter

    Hi Delci! I’m loving your videos and finding your information so helpful. We are new goat owners and just got 2 of the cutest Pigmy goats a few months ago 😍 we eventually want to milk goats but from what I’m researching Pigmy may not be the best...any advice about breeds for milking?

      Well, really it is an individual decision based on preferences and need. The larger the breed, the more milk they produce but larger breeds may be harder to manage and the bucks are just big and can be unruly during breeding season.
      Some of the Nigerian dwarfs are a good, small size but produce a good amount of milk.
      I breed Mini-Nubians. I compromised 😆 They are a cross between a Nigerian and a Nubian.

    • @DelcifromALifeofHeritage
      @DelcifromALifeofHeritage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are dog collars or leather straps :) I just got them at a local farm and ranch store

    My goat licks my feet or my skin when I’m out relaxing is there a reason

    • @DelcifromALifeofHeritage
      @DelcifromALifeofHeritage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, goats are known to just be nibblers. They like to chew and explore with their mouth.
      But they may be getting some salt off your skin. Do you have minerals for goats out for them at all times that they can lick as they need it?

    • @crossface57

      Delci • A Life of Heritage why does it tickle so much when they lick me is there a reason for that my feet are ticklish
