    Wow. You made my day. Just when the world looks mean and nasty, people driving like the road laws don’t apply to them. My beautiful goat Tabitha got attacked by two rogue dogs. Heart break, vet bills, practically sleeping in their pen to protect them with my shot gun….. Stress😢😢😢😢. I see the light at the end of the tunnel now. You pretty lady have just restored a bit of faith I was had for humanity. Thank you

    I’ve seen your mineral and baking soda dispensers with admiration in a few videos. I stopped and picked up the supplies to build two today, worth it I think but grief how prices have increase in the recent past! Turned out to be $44.17 each. I did not use cement and sprang for the screw top clean out plug to easily remove the top, they were about $2 more than the standard cap for the 3” pipe setup.
    Thanks for all the inspiration!

      Lol
      That one I don’t have on my channel though! 😆
      It’s hard to say. He is young still and it could still drop. Cows will sometimes drop down later as they mature.
      We had a young stud colt breed a mare and when we went to castrate him the vet has to dig for the second testicle. It hadn’t dropped at all and he was fertile.
      There are several things that could happen:
      If the buck is fertile, it may be genetic and you probably wouldn’t want to pass that trait on.
      He could be fertile and it was just a woopsey membrane weird deal holding it up and all be well in his offspring.
      He could be not fertile at all.
      And he could be banded and live a happy life as a wether.
      Only time will tell. You could get a vet that’s handy in reproduction issues and have them do an ultrasound to find where the testicle is and maybe could see the issue.

    My land has pine trees and juniper bushes, would this be a problem for goats?

    • @DelcifromALifeofHeritage
      @DelcifromALifeofHeritage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There does seem to be a lot of talk back and forth about this. But I've given our goats our Christmas trees after we are done with them and there have been no problems. They love to eat them and will eat every pine tree they can get their lips on. So probably the biggest issue is allowing their rumen to get used to this new food and not allowing them to gorge on it. And they really do need hay or a main source of food besides pine needles. Besides hay, all foods should be in moderation or they can cause problems. The same would be true for juniper.

    • @emwagner
