They need to build a 1500 to compete with the most popular machine on the market, the best-selling SK 1750. There's a two-year waiting list for that machine.

@@campstrat the 1050 is just a more powerful and capable machine. They are not really in the same class. If you notice in the video. They didn't design this unit to be a superior performer. They're trying to strike the middle of what's practical for a lot of guys and make a unit that has respectable capacity and still be able to get into tiny gates and whatnot.

I tried buying one of these, found a dealer in Minnesota that supposedly had 5 of them, the even assigned sock numbers on the web site, but when I contacted them, they indicated they had none in stock, no pricing, and no idea when they would have any units or pricing, with growing frustration over the delayed launch, which I understand is a Kubota trait, I finally went with a ditch witch sk800, for my applications, (electrical contractor), the added width was not an issue, and after trying an sk600, felt that the narrower machine was an actual hindrance when operating in a side hill, the wider machine just feels much more stable, I guess time will tell if I made the correct choice, but Kubota clearly lost a customer in this case with not following thru on intro/delivery time frame

My company currently operates a SVL-75 and a KX-057 to do tree work in the Southeast. The material we handle is heavy, of course. But, making additional cuts to reduce material size and weight is certainly more affordable than owning and transporting equipment that is larger and heavier than the equipment I currently have. In the future I will buy smaller, lighter equipment.

For me it’s between the Kubota Scl 1000 and the ditch witch sk1050. I think I would have to go with the ditch witch because I live in the mountains of Virginia and the little bit extra hill stability with the 6” wider ditch witch is more important than being able to fit through a gate for me.

Back in the late 80s a British company Powerfab had a 34 inch skid steer loader which could lift 500kgs. It could take all the attachments listed and had a self trailing kit which meant you could tow it to and from job sites. JLG industries also had a similar machine, but not as strong or robust. Tracks could be added to the tires.
11 hp Honda four stroke gas or Kubota 13 hp Diesel engine choice. The Powerfab was way ahead of its time along with a 125 mini excavator, a 180 tracked excavator with offset digging and 1200kg 360 excavator all of which had digging depths of 7’6”.
