Good morning sir, thank you for your ever impactful insights.
On wigwe family actually pointed at something in the body of Christ in Nigeria that needs to be addressed.
Three billionaires in parish died, I mean at the same time. They were not passive especially with finances and a mere wine and dine could not be postponed 😢.
These are thing that makes Christians loose value and others are watching seeing how valuable they are.
In my opinion, that disposition of the parish headship is neither befitting of a Christian nor proper

As a pastor’s wife and a leader of a Ministry with this family who have died once attended she should be mourning with this family as the Bible said in the book of Romans 12:15,we as leaders should not think hardly of ourselves only, but meeting the needs of the people we serve. This birthday could have been postponed to the month of April.Let us all remember when we are called we deny ourselves picking up our cross and follow Jesus daily Luke 9:23 which also means putting others needs before yours also, being sensitive to others problems. To God be the Glory.

Please permit me to chip in that as Africans, we jubilate at the funerals of ELDERLY parents not because we are not in pain, but because it's a cultural requirement - to celebrate the person's long life, and that he/she has been outlived by the children, which is prayer of every parent.

Thanks Dr. Apoki, you are doing a good work, creating awareness that is strange to most of our people. Wife, husband, children, wealth, careers, etc are all we gathered in our web to be happy and will all disappear one day. Reminding ourselves that we are mortal beings will bring certain amount of awareness in our lives.

Ok, but don't you think having honor is important in our lives if we expect it back? If someone close to us dies and your response is "Who cares? They were going to die anyway." How then does it honor that person's life? How does it honor the God that created that life? That was the point of Dr. Apoki's wife's comment. Yes, we have to move on at some point but moving on that quickly seemed to disregard the life of Wigwe who contributed much to that church & Nigeria. Would you be able to throw a party a week after someone close to you died? If you can, that shows you didn't really care about that person that much or valued their contributions.

So the bereaved have to continue with life daily struggles. To do contrary is to go into depression. On the other side it is not acceptable to be over excited or rejoice during a time of bereavement.

Many churches especially in Nigeria are money making businesses and many people stupidly fall for it by donations of their hard earned money to the church. I will never donate money to a corrupt church where the Pastors will use my money and others money to build nice houses and drive nice cars while the congregation suffers. Also people in this part of the world respect the Pastors more than God. But who is the Pastor, a mere human that will pass away like the rest people some day!!!!

Having the gift of men is a blessing, genuine , intentional and unbiased men who truly love you but these days, lot of people love you for what they benefit. It's now your primary. duty to learn how to deal with such people. Don't bring them close to you and always seldomly be found with them. Help and love them from a far.

The tragic circumstances of the Wigwes death is enough to dampened the Spirit of those who claimed to be his spiritual fathers in the Lord. Millions of people that condemned their action don't even know Wigwe but are touched mostly by the circumstances of his death with wife and Son..What manner of Wife, Mother and Friend is Mrs Iluyomade to move on to merriment one week after such incident to someone who is so close to their Family?????? Life goes on, but sincerely, when you love someone sincerely, their death can leave a pain that never quite goes away..
And that's not trying to be melodramatic.
My mum passed almost 9 yrs ago and my dad four years ago, and there are times I still shed tears when I remember them.
And I'm 50yrs old, so its not like Im a young orphan... they lived long and good lives.
It's just to tell you that when you truly love someone and they die, the pain lessens, but it never really goes away.
The fact is if you can hide your pain enough to dance to Flavour and have a sumptuous party after such a TRAGIC loss of your church members, then it really was not grief you were feeling.
Its different if the 4 people church passed away were OLD, even if you grieve them terribly, such a party can go on because afterall their funerals would still be a merry party.
In such a case their funerals would be a CELEBRATION of LONG lives well spent...
But we are talikng about people in the prime of their lives and even a young man of 22 - 23 yrs. And the HORRENDOUS manner in which they died !
How HEARTLESS Siju and her husband are !!

Exactly, what is she supposed to do? Not enjoy her own 60th? It was his pastor, not his wife or children. This complaint is too much. People are miserable. How does anyone know how she feels about his death? But at least she was probably planning for months for that birthday. People are too much.

@@Jessyisblessed When you take out time to watch the birthday party from the church service to the reception hall, she kept paying tributes to the departed Wigwes. What else would she do than to pray for their souls repose? Her diamond celebration that has been planned for weeks to months before now. Happy birthday once again ma'am.

if the person who passed on were to be a member without much financial influence in the church would anyone expect her to stop her celebration because of his death? or would wigwe stop his celebration if it were his pastor that passed on?
      just asking!!!
