You should watch and react to the making of this film. Honestly. This is one of the best casted films I have ever scene. Every actor/actress was brilliant. Even the bad guys (Percy and Wild Bill) if you get an audience to hate you, you did your job. You should watch how it all came together. Try something different. NOt too many people react to what went on behind the scenes of films.

Tom Hanks' character lived out in the country. It was the mid-1930s. Indoor plumbing wasn't a common thing. People used outhouses back then.

It seemed you missed the connection that the old man is an older Tom Hanks and he has a UTI. (You did make the connection at the end). I'm sure they are not having sex because of UTI. People don't HAVE TO BE THERE during the execution. They volunteer to be there. He had to go outside to the bathroom because back in the day many places did not have indoor toilets. He is heading for the outhouse. Right when you were saying that the worst thing you can do is spit on another man, that guy started pissing on the guard. Personally I think pissing is worse than spitting. Moon pie to the face is not great either. It's death row, none of them are leaving except getting executed. I also think you missed the fact that John "felt" the pain of the guy that was executed without the wet sponge. Yeah, the wife is "real sick". She "had" a brain tumor and "was" going to die. You also missed the fact that Percy was admitted to the same mental hospital where he was supposed to be getting a job, after leaving death row. Did you realize that the movie he watched at the end was the same movie that old Tom Hanks was crying about at the beginning? You may want to pay more attention to the movie instead of talking so much, especially since you repeat the same thing over and over again anyway.

    • @GoVandals0605
      @GoVandals0605 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

In the first 5 minutes you didn't even track that the old guy said he was in charge of death row and had the worst UTI of his life...... Then we see DEATH . ROW. and a guy who can't pee without pain.
There's no way you're going to track the supernatural stuff to come.
Glad you showed me how inattentive you can be and showed me early. I can tap out now.

  • @michaelakers8698

The reason John was so big is because no normal man could bare the full burden of the gift notice he was dog tired after each time he used it and notice he was tired after del was executed because John took the pain away from del's soul it was just his body dieing in the chair when Paul showed the woman the mouse it was 64 years old and in the end the glimpse of Paul all dressed up walking down the hall he out lived the nursing home him and the old woman was in he was the last to leave Everytime I watch this movie I find more and more little details that I've missed this movie never gets old

There were no real treatments for urinary infections in the 1930s. Penicillin wasn't available until after World War 2. So even if he had gone to the doctor there wouldn't have been much they could have done for him.

Adogg, it's NOT a "RAT" it's only a little MOUSE. It's NOT "the SAME THING." There IS a DIFFERENCE!! LOL! RATS are BIGGER, a MOUSE is tiny. A MOUSE does NOT grow into a RAT. An adult MOUSE can range (from tip of nose to tip of their tail) from FOUR & 3/4 INCHES to just under 8 INCHES long, plus they have a TRIANGULAR shaped HEAD which is much SMALLER than their BODY. A MOUSE also has a POINTY nose and TINY black eyes. RATS can be as much as 16 - 18 inches long (including their tails). A RAT'S NOSE is more BUNT and ROUNDED ( again, a MOUSE'S NOSE is pointy) A RAT has COARSER FUR which may be BROWN, GRAY, BLACK, or RED in color. RATS can weigh from 1/2 POUND to 1 POUND .....but a MOUSE will weigh between TWO - FIFTHS (2/5ths) to FOUR - FIFTHS (4/5ths) OUNCES. That is VERY SMALL and LIGHT compared to a RAT'S size and weight. SO SEE, They are DEFINITELY NOT "the SAME." NOW you KNOW the DIFFERNCE between a MOUSE and a RAT. 🙂

We truly don't know how old John is, it alluded to seem he just appeared out of the sky. Even John said he was tired of wandering, being by himself, not knowing where he was going to be time to time. You have to realize that he said he was tired, he felt the ugliness of the world personally upon his divine lifeforce, this was 1935 to 36, all the leaders that were in power for WW2 to kick off were in place now, the toll it would of took on him.

So many reactors seem to be more interested in talking about themselves and talking over the film dialogue, or showing that they've never progressed beyond a 14 year old mentality. Or they insist on letting their audience know what an astute film critic they are, by constantly talking about the lighting, the character's dialogue, the background shots. This dude isn't silly but is still funny. It's sometimes hard to strike that balance but he's got it down.

It's sadly inspired by the real case of George Tilley Jnr who at the age of 14 was sentenced to death by electric chair for the sexual assault and murder of two little white girls in the 30's. This poor skinny little boy was arrested kept from his parents, bullied and forced into a confession At the time of the murders George was working on the family farm with his sister. But sadly he was taken to court where it took an all white jury just 6 hours to sentence him to death with a date of execution to be one year later. He was completely cut off from his family. When it came to the execution they had to put books underneath him to make the chair fit this very small boy . IHis family never stopped fighting for him even after his death they fought for his name. It would come up in tge news through the years which is how Stephen King read about it but it was until the Innocence project took the case and he was cleared in 2014.

When they tell a Man "Its going to be alright" or "You will be fine" before their execution it is to calm the man's fear that he won't handle it like a man, that he won't be brave and oddly enough those reassuring words do help. As a side note - While I liked watching this with you, the reason you so often asked what was going on is because you were talking over the explenation in the movie about what was going on or about to happen so you missed it and were left wondering.

Calling someone a sissy is just our nice way of saying the guy acts like a little girl. We didnt ise it like it isnused today. Sissy was a very popular word used anytime a boy cried you were called a sissy. Then the gay community went and made it have a different meaning than originally kinda like the rainbow. We used to see the rainbow everywhere no problem then the gay community decided to make it theor flag. So keep in kind when seeing older movies we used the certain words that one way or another now mean different something else. Hell back then being gay just meant happy that is the actual definition of the word gay is to be happy that is all it orginally means.

Do Shawshank Redemption. Also: Mr. Jingles is clearly a rat, not a mouse. Rats are great pets. As sociable and intelligent as dogs.

John Madden explaining a play that just happened: Now, ya see the quarterback.. he had the ball and then the receiver, he caught the ball. That's how the play happened because the quarterback passed the ball to the.. the.. the.. receiver and he uhh, caught the ball.

You can't go wrong with any of Tom Hank's movies. The next movie you do of his should be his most famous movie "Forrest Gump". (And then Cast Away" after that.)

Well nothing is embarrassing more than “getting off” to Percy and your neighbour walks in and sees what you’re up to, including who you’re looking at (Percy) goes to show, Percy even done me dirty 😂😅

I don't know if the word "sissy" is as bad as the f-word... although, that word is used in this movie too. I think we just refrain from saying the s-word "just in case. BTW, Michael Clarke Duncan was 6'5". Brutal/Brutus is 6'4". They scaled things down to make John Coffey look more like a giant.

Telling the parents that wild bill did it would only destroy the parents (mostly the father) knowing that they brought the man into their home who killed and raped their girls. Especially since john wanted it over, all the pain he lives with every day of his life.

No one no one can imagine what their victims went through before they finally died. Nobody was there for the victims nobody was reading them their last rights nobody was there to save them obviously. The people in the room watching electrocution we're usually family members of the victim they were looking for justice and they received Justice right here what you're looking at is Justice for murder and whatever other torture they put on their victims, these man in the electric chair earned. So don't you dare feel sorry for people that get electrocuted or lethal injection or hanging or firing squad. These evil people earned it.

LOL, my inlaws used an outhouse until 1997. In Montana, in the winter. No bathrooms in the house. And the husband refused to use it when it was put inside. He still went to the outhouse.
