The biggest rainbow trout ever caught weighted 48 pounds and was 42 inches long with a 32 inch girth. This world record was caught at Lake Diefenbaker in Canada by Sean Konrad in 2009. Arkansas record comes from the White River. 19.1 lbs.
Hate being “that guy”, however, you should never dry hand a trout. They have a protective “slime” that will erode away once dry handing. If that fish lives another week it will have a dry discolored area where you touched it. It’s very harmful to these delicate fish and since you’re releasing them it will eventually kill them if they aren’t prey to something else. On the brighter side; excellent video and nice to see you having a great time with a family member
My mom caught a rainbow below the dam that had broken off with a snelled leader. The hook passed through the trout, and hooked itself in the loop where the leader attached to the line. She actually hooked the loop in the line from the trout’s anus to its mouth. My dad was shocked! We live in Heber Springs and still have property 8 miles north of the Greers Ferry Marina.

I like this video. My wife and I are moving to Arkansas next month. Thanks
If I not mistaken, the world's record was caught on the Little Red. It weighed over 40 pounds.

It wasn’t shown in the video but I wet my hands before handling every fish. Thank you for your comment though!
