Hi Jeremy, self inflicted parental guilt is the worst kind, and the most devastating, as we want to make memories with our children. I feel your heart in this story, and, I have done the same thing. It's always difficult to put our PD first. 😃😃😀😀😁😁
I’m 4 months out from tearing my Achilles which is really no fun with Parkinson’s. My wife, son and I had tickets for the Foo Fighters concert last week. So I was rehabbing all along to get ready to try to make the concert. We had a long walk from the parking lot to the venue and basically stood for almost 3 hours in 90 degree heat for the show. . By the time it was over and I walked back to the car I ran out of gas , I didn’t think I was going to make it. Thankfully my son drove and I could relax on the trip home. I probably overdid it but sometimes you just have to force yourself to do things with your family. We had a great time
I have a Meramec Caverns story. It’s “email” long. I live on one of the Sea Islands of SC. I love the beach, but rarely go. My son took me to lunch on Hilton Head Island, so I could walk in the beach. Flip flops, cane, Parkinson’s legs!!! I let the foaming tide circle my feet. I loved it until the receding tide created a suction in the wet sand. I managed to stay upright, but it was a thriller. I haven’t been back. Thanks again for another fine video, Jay Mac
Hi Jeremy, you make me laugh this time because you mentioned my name. " Das Wetter ist schlecht"😂I like the way you tell you daily ordinary story's with same self irony. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland
I now have the Uber app installed on my phone and only walk where I could be picked up easily. When I’m off I can’t think of ways to help myself, so I have to have a plan before in gets too bad.
Hola Paco! Seems like forever since I have seen a Jeremy Mac video. So far I’ve not had issues like your cave episode, and hoping to keep the symptoms at bay as long as possible. Thanks for continuing to share and entertain.
Keep the videos coming man. I also play and have Parkinson’s. I haven’t picked my guitar up in two years. Afraid I’ll be crushed by doing that! But you’ve inspired me to try again soon.
You are amazing!! Doing that to yourself for your son😍 you are way braver than me!! As soon as you said cave my heart rate went up......I have major anxiety and claustrophobia so I would never even try that😂😂 sorry it took such a heavy toll on you though. Keep being awesome!!!❤❤❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I understand the feeling of wanting to do stuff with your family! Caves are so cool! Our daughter wants us to go to a pow wow. I’m hoping I can manage it! Be well, my friend!
Kudos to you for at least giving it a go. I guess as years progress you'll continue to discover limitations, but you won't know until you try. At least now you can say you've gone there! 🙂
Hola, you polyglot! 😂 Last October I took a Jeep ride to some tourist trap mine in Tennessee. Great time on the ride no big stress for me. My son in law drove while I got to hang with them. Ahh yes, the cave was a different story. It was after dark and they shot for poor lighting to enhance the mystery effect. Did I mention that the wet pebble strewn ground was uneven and slippery. Parky me had to walk my way out and wait on a bench. Since then I got trekking poles to hopefully help me in the future. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Good that you got to see it finally.
Thx, bro!
I have read pushing yourself to move and exercise is good for people with Parkinson’s….
Yes, that’s true. However, I pushed myself too far that day. Just be aware of your limits.

We want to be Superman for our families when we just get overtired and worry everyone. Thx, David!
@@JeremyMcdonald Nothing wrong with that, but you and I can take it too far it appears.

I thought you might like this one!✌️
I tried to go on a walk by myself and ended up running out of steam and crawling back to my house on all fours for about a quarter mile. 🙃
That’s terrible! Didn’t anyone offer to help you?
@@JeremyMcdonald nope 🙃

I’m happy to have inspired you! When I pick up my guitar, I just get frustrated.🤬
