Yes! As you know I am a BIG believer in CBT, I couldn't have processed my diagnosis with out it and she's to this day part of my health care team. So happy to hear that you found a therapist you connect with and that the sessions have helped you with the struggles we can get stuck in. I love the chair ❤and my heart was broken on Tuesday....will be a long recovery my friend.
Sorry to hear that, Karen. I have been struggling, too. But like George Harrison sang “All things must pass”. In the end, even the most powerful among us will fade and disappear. Just sandcastles for the tide to wash away.
CBT is very subjective and personal. What works for one, may not work for another. The method can be suggested by someone, but it can't be taught by them. Ones bespoke methods for coping are complex internal mechanisms. CBT in practice, is our own internal monolog talking to ourselves objectively as a calm, cool, and collected 3rd person. I often refer to it as the Mr. Spock inside my head. It helps to identify irrational thought.
Big fan of CBT. Sometimes you need that person to help you process it all and to be a confidant. It’s tough navigating life’s stress under ordinary circumstances. But when the dopamine tank is about a quart low, and it starts dragging the serotonin level down with it, CBT becomes a godsend!
Take it slow. Lots of people are torqued right now. There may be more before it’s over. Mark Twain once said, history doesn’t repeat itself but it often rhymes. We will survive and eventually thrive. ✌🏼❤️3️⃣0️⃣5️⃣

The chair is, in fact, magnificent! Onwards and upwards!
Love this episode. Having a therapist has been so helpful for me too!
Thx, Julie!
Thanks Jeremy, good advice and discussion, thanks!😀😀
Glad you enjoyed it, David!
Good talk. I highly recommend therapy. I’ve been a patient and a clinician-both sides of the couch so to speak. I’ve been brain dead for two days.
