  • I decided a few years ago to start serving my own car,
My car is due its 60,000 mile service and I am going to use genuine parts. Join me for a step by step service
Reusing the old plastic containers to be refilled from Honda has saved on more plastic being bought and then disposed of.
Always check your warranty and hand book before doing anything on your own car.
Thank you for watching, remember to like and subscribe

Job well done, I suggest prefilling the new oil filter too because it is nice and vertical mounted.

If your doing stop/start short trips then oil changes every 6 months if you want engine to last. Don’t forget air and cabin filters. And gearbox oil. Excellent car if looked after. I have 1.6 idtec version.

Little early to change the spark plugs, those plugs goes 90-100k miles.

I bet they could! However Honda for this engine advise doing them at 60K so we are following the book.

Why not change the ignition coils since you removed them?

Good question, Honda recommends changing these at 100k or over so these are only half way through their life. Have you had issues with yours failing on your Honda before that? Least its an easy quick job to change!

@@LandyManLewis No issues at 243k miles, but I’ll probably change anyway.
