Melissa, glad to see that you are OK! I am in Upstate South Carolina and know how scary Helene was. Just got power back this evening so didn't get to watch your video until now. Just glad you made it through OK!
Glad you were safe. I live in NC and my area didn't get it too bad but the western part of my state has been devastated from Helene. It's so heartbreaking.
Melissa, I’m from an island off the coast of Texas your perishable are good as long as you keep the refrigerator closed so it can remain cold….Stay safe 🥰
Agree. Our stuff lasted til day 3 no power during beryl, then they had to go lol. Wouldn’t have lasted the full 9 days we didn’t have power-but couple days is fine just keep her closed
On the Texas coast here, too. Something I started doing is always keeping big ice packs or bottles of water in the freezer. That way if (and when) the power goes out, those stay frozen for quite a while, and your fridge/freezer is now basically just a big cooler stocked with ice.🌵
I'm glad you're alright and you didn't get a lot of damage! I'm just south of Asheville and we personally didn't get much other than downed trees, so we've been working on clearing those and helping neighbors where we can. We got power back surprisingly quickly for our area, which I'm also grateful for. I like how you have the edging pavers around the landscaping in your back yard. I tend to plop plants in the ground, then get pissy when I have to weed/mow around them, lol. I'll have to look for some and get that sorted out.
I’m glad yall are safe! A lot of people weren’t so lucky and my heart goes out to them. I was shocked how much damage and flooding occurred even far inland. It’s crazy.
Hey! Hope all is well. I’m in RH outside Savannah we had no power for 48hrs. Some parts still have no power and water. Luckily my freezer stayed frozen and my fridge was still cold so I had little to toss. Tip: fill a bathtub with water incase you run out or don’t have water that way you can still use/flush the toilet. Also there’s a string/rope you can pull in the garage to go manual and open it. I’m just grateful we didn’t flood like the last time. My neighborhood is still doing repairs in their homes from Debbie.
You will be ok . Didn't know you were affected. Ive been watching your old vlogs all day. I watch you everyday I did get my Ikea greenhouse yesterday. You did so well on your own and for such a long time without power Melissa. Thankfully the damage wasn't severe! Can imagine going through a tornado. In Sydney the worst we get are strong winds and flooding in lower lying areas. Our house is at the highest point of our street so we never get any flooding, just some tree debris. Glad all of your plants are doing so well and more importantly you have power. You made the most of an uncomfortable situation. And your neighbours are legends! 💪🙌🏻🫶
I'm so happy you're doing okay, and God bless your neighbors. Please make yourself an emergency storm kit. I was without power for 11 days after a hurricane when I lived in NC. It was unbelievable. ❤❤

Glad you didn’t get it severely. I’m about 40 miles from Savannah: power & water wear out for 3 days… cell & wifi for 7 days. I hope ppl in the other states get some help as they got it bad. Thanks for sharing Melissa!
We lost power at 7:30 Friday morning here in southwest Virginia. No cell communications either. We are fortunate to have a generator but power is the least of my worries knowing others have lost everythigg be. Our town and surrounding towns flooded and the devastation is real. Hi Melissa 💫 Glad you and your property are safe! I’m in Jacksonville, Florida and the wind was the worst we got. I have the battery packs for my phone as well as I always make sure I have a car charger so I just go to my car and charge my phone when we lose power. I also keep a fully loaded battery pack thing in my car for inflating tires/jumping a battery and that also has USB ports to use/charge other items. just FYI. 🥰
My dog hates me cutting his nails too. He’s ok on the front but play bites at me when I do the back ones. Makes me very nervous to do the back.
Halloween came earlier this year 😂
My neighbors two cats start out licking and end up fighting the same way that yours do.

I sort of expected to see higher water from the lake behind you.
We didn't get too much rain this time - a lot more wind. It got high last tropical storm that came through so we were a little anxious. We're technically not in a flood zone but anything can happen I guess.

God will shelter you in the storm.

I’ve been worrying about you guys being there in the the thick of it.
I thought about you hoping you were okay. I know how you feel. I cannot sleep when storms are around. The last hurricane caused us to have no power for almost a whole day. If you had my phone number you could call me any time you were in a storm and couldn't sleep. I know what that feels like. 😢
Nah Princess. You and your husband have to get the PATRIOTS GENERATOR. It is a purchase you'll never regret. And it will keep your food in the fridge.
You are so freakin’ hardcore.
Next time check to see how much your neighboors have room in fridge.
god save you 🙏.. and please don't say information about you or your husband and you alone or not this is not good in social media.. ❤👏🙏
