    Thank you for making this, I've been struggling with this for a few days and finally decided to look up tutorials. I appreciate your effort in this!

    The ability to favourite a category of parts is also super useful. I only found it a few days ago and its already hugely improved my user experience, now that I dont have to scroll through a dozen categories I'll almost never use to get to the most useful categories. I still prefer the LDD palette overall (to the point that unless I desperately need to be using new parts, I'll still use LDD) but this definitely shrunk the gap between them for me.
    I just wish they'd let us rearrange the favourited categories, its gonna be a real pain when I accidentally unfavourite one, and then have to unfavourite and refavourite everything to get them back in the right order.

    the video is very helpfull and clear. I still have a question which I really wish you can help me answering. About Custom Palette. I did for my self and inventory of all the lego pieces I have at home. I would like to make a palette where I can not only see the type I have but also the quantity I have for each part. to say it differently, when I import an official lego set, I see the parts and their quntiry which decreases by using them in the moc. can I create a custom palette by merging more lego sets, and keep the information a out wiantity available for each part?

    The Brick Palette suddenly expanded to my whole screen, and I can't find NOWHERE how to resize it back. SOS.

      I had that happen a few weeks ago. Here is what worked for me. At the top of the brick palette, hover your cursor right on the line that separates the build palette, when it turns into a double arrow, click and drag the cursor down to resize the screen. I hope that works for you.

    Thank you. I created a palette. But when adding parts to the palette, the part shows with a "+" sign. Do you know how to remove it? Thanks. Again, your tutorial is really helpful.

      I did a test to see what you mean and did not see what you meant. Are you referring to a palette you created by adding bricks or to one that you uploaded from a LEGO model?

      @@PlaywellBricks thank you! I ended up adding another palette and redo everything I mean adding the parts I want. And I couldn't replicate the problem either... back to problem. It's like this, for any part I added to my first palette, it has a + sign in the top right corner. And I need to click on the part icon first, then select, and then to apply it to the design I'm working on. btw, I'm using the 2.10.2 Studio.

    Thanks for the great video. I'm having a problem where I can't add custom parts to a palette. Is this functionality absent or do I have a setting wrong somewhere? Thanks!

      They are located in their own palette. I have not tried adding one to a different palette.

    Firstly, thanks very much for these great Studio tutorials. You've earned a subscription here.
    One thing I'm really struggling with in Studio is some of the more complicated angling required with Technic models, particularly the suspension element. Is it possible to get Studio to 'relax' hinged pieces when connecting 2 points with the connection tool, or to be able to manipulate ball joints in all dimensions simultaneously? I know pieces can be rotated around an x/y point, but I'd like to be able to freely manipulate (preferably multiple) hinged pieces in 3 dimensions. If no such ability exists, what's the quickest, easiest way to reshape multiple ball/socket pieces to the desired x/y/z angle, and connect them with other pieces?

      Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I just saw this now.
      There is no way to hinge pieces in all directions, you have to work within on dimension at a time.
      The only real way I know of is to change each axis until you get the part how you wish then use the connect to to connect the part.

    Does anyone know where the palette's are stored ? I have a PC crash, have restored my .IO model files but lost the palette's ?

      That is a great question. I would suggest emailing the Bricklink team directly or Posting the question on the Studio LEGO Designers Facebook group and see if someone there knows.

    I have a question. I'm creating a mosaic using the color palette from the Mickey/Minnie mosaic sets. Is there a way to limit it to use only the available quantities of the pieces from the color pallete?

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes
      You first will have to create a custom palette with that set. In the mosaic options, under Brick Type and Colours, there is a drop down menu to select what palette you wish to use.

    How can i change the Quantity of my custom pallete, like the palletes i can import from official lego designs?

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As far as I am aware that functionality is not built into Studio yet. There have been requests made on the Bricklink forum for this to be implemented.

    I haven't tried it yet but is multi-monitor supported yet so that I can put the pallet on a separate monitor?

      I don't think so but I couldn't say 100%.
