    Thank you! this was very helpful. Tip for others: Custom Parts designed in part designer are found in appdata / local / studd. You can copy them into your Ldraw folder to enable the importing of custom parts

    Nice tutorial, well explained and a pro level is always welcome.
    Maybe you can help me, I have a stupid and small question: I tried the ld import and it works great. Now I can Textyre paint my ldd files but then how can I export them into part designer again including all the textures and uv mapping? THe plug in only allow to import ldd but not export into that format....

    Thanks a bunch. I'm a noob at Blender right now but quite skilled at MOCing. I've used LDD, Bricksmith and later Studio to try out things when I'm just too lazy to look for elements 😅 I've long wanted to move into Blender and eventually have my own custom pieces printed by a pro 3D printer. Any suggestions? I'm in Europe.

      Hi, we offer this as a service at Playwell Bricks. We have a very talented digital modeler who can create customs parts. All that you would need is to find someone with a resin printer who could print them off for you.

    I tried putting the Draw into Blender end it doesn't work no matter how hard I try and you should've had the video show how to do that because I have no idea how.

    Hi, thanks for sharing all of this, great stuff!
    I managed to install and make the import work after following the GitHub guide. However, I have custom pattern parts on my model, which are not imported to blender, even if I export them separately as LDraw.
    Do you know what I need to do to also import those patterned parts?

      Tbh I am not a Blender expert, we have someone on our team who handles all that for us.

    Many, many thanks for the amazing tutorial videos and for the amazing LEGO channel!
    As a little heads-up, here's a newer project based on the LDraw importer that aims to support newer Blender versions and may have updated features further down the road: github.com/cuddlyogre/ExportLdraw

    Brick Studio 2 can do animations of the bricks falling into place, can we export that animation from Studio2 into Blender? Thank you for this video.

    Hello! Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. I seem to have an issue with not being able to find the renders files on my computer after they are complete. They photo version saves correctly to the folder which I specify, but the animations seem to disappear. Do you have any suggestions on what to do about this? I have tried doing the animations multiple times and saving them to different locations, but I can’t find any of them! :(

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not experienced this before. I would suggest trying a short animation to test.

    Is there a way to get the logos on the studs in blender? I cant seem to find anything about it.

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe if you bring in the file as a Collada exported from Studio it will include the logos.

    I just downloaded Blender but there is no LDraw option in the import list. How come you have that option and I don't ?
    (BTW thank for your tutoriels, I just discovered your channel)

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I mentioned in the video you have to download the files and install it into Blender. The link is on the comments section :) Hope that helps you out!

      @@PlaywellBricks I attempted to locate your part 1 video. I was unable to import my Ldraw file. Blender gave me a "Could not find Ldraw Parts Library".
      I have been attempting to ranimate some old lego trailer animations from Mars Mission for fun but it would be nice to import the parts I need. Thx

    How w to export a DAT file? I only exported it in. Dae format, and the model position was messed up after blender imported it

    • @PlaywellBricks
      @PlaywellBricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to use the Blender extension to do the import. Trying to use the .dae from Studio will not work.
