this is incredibly helpful. when i was trying to model my room in lego i found that the light always looked really bad. now, it looks super awesome. thank you so much!
Very helpful! Thanks! It's always a bit tricky trying out the light parameters when rendering an image. Usually, I end up with a variety of renders to choose from! 😀👍
Not that I am aware of, there are very few options for controlling the lighting in Studio. I know some people have been bringing their models into Blender and using the render engine there to have more control.
I use the Modular LEM Pack, and installed it just like you did in the other video by overwriting the code in settings.xml and StudioColorDefinition.txt. But what happens when I install the new studio update ?
I would love to have better equipment, unfortunately I am on a tight budget and am not making any money doing this. It would be great to have a top notch studio setup, but I just can't afford that. I have tried my best to do what I can with what I have, sorry if that is not good enough for you. You could try being a bit more understanding of people's circumstances. Especially when those people are just trying to help others.
It's less about the microphone and more about the cadence. The microphone only amplifies the main issue I had with the video. You were projecting your voice as if speaking to a crowd in a loud room, and the microphone made this very grating to hear. I'm sorry I came off as if I was snubbing my nose at you, that wasn't my intent. I want to make it clear that this was the only issue I really had with the presentation of the video, and I'm extremely grateful that you're doing this; information on how to use stud.io is difficult to find, and what you're doing here is by far the best I've seen.
@@tichepotato7992 Yes, I can see that. I am not a soft spoken person, I project naturally even in everyday conversation. I know there are issues with the sound and have tried many things to rectify that including turning the mic volume way down to try to prevent clipping. And I have tried modulating my voice, with the result of sounding like a drone. lol I am slowly learning sound mixing for recording music, so hopefully over time it will get better.

My pleasure!
Such a beautiful model. Thank you!

Great! Glad to hear it :D Same here, I never really explored too much about what the settings actually do so it was just as informative for me!
This is super helpful. I've been rendering my builds and them lightening them up in Photoshop, which is a pain. I think this will fix that problem.
nice ) thanks! Do you have a video about lego animation settings in lego studio with examples like here?
Sorry no
thx very much! but can u also tell more about types of light (building, mechanic, asteroid...)?
Yes, that would be a good idea to describe them more fully in a future video.
@@PlaywellBricks oh, nice! I will wait))
Awzum tutorial 😎🤘
Is it free to render in Studio?
Yes, it is :) Studio is a completely free piece of software.
Hi. I'm watching your video. Is there any way to get rid of the lights in Render? Right now it seems like I have to set the angle unconditionally.
Not that I am aware of, there are very few options for controlling the lighting in Studio. I know some people have been bringing their models into Blender and using the render engine there to have more control.
My renders keep coming out dark even though I have the light intensity turned up to max (3)?
It might be due tot he position of the light. Try rotating your model or changing the x/y position of the light.
Now a new update is available for studio. Does the install of this update effect the light files? Can I just install it ?
Just to clarify what do you mean by "effect the light files"?

@@evertdeboer9038 The new light package will overwrite the old one, but everything is still there and is easier to work with :)
I'm sorry, I'm sure this is extremely useful, but I just can't listen to you almost shouting at a low-quality microphone.

I'm very sure it will and I'll be looking forward to see that progress. Keep it up man.
