This guy is 100% correct about the number of technologies required for traditional dev. It’s mind-blowing. I want to find a niche where tech doesn’t change all the time. This has my interest.
    - 27 years a dev

I am a final year IT student and power platform is one of my modules I find it interesting as a career path and senior roles has great salary but there are little junior roles available, I am also thinking of taking the pl-900 certification, what else do you recommend I do to help me get a an entry level role in power platform career path.

    Other issues with traditional dev
    - The market is saturated with developers
    - There are sooo many technologies that it is almost impossible to match all of the requirements of job postings. That means that if you ARE hired, you will end up donating a lot of your own time trying to learn the skills you are missing. Meanwhile, managers have little patience.

You've raised some valid concerns about the current state of software development. The rapid evolution of technology and the increasing demand for skilled developers have created a competitive landscape. Here are some additional challenges that often arise in traditional development environments:
      Overwhelming Technology Stack
Complexity: Modern applications often rely on a vast array of technologies, from programming languages and frameworks to databases and cloud platforms.
Learning Curve: Keeping up with the latest trends and mastering new tools can be time-consuming and overwhelming.
      Skill Gap and Mismatch
Expectations vs. Reality: Job postings may outline unrealistic requirements, leading to a mismatch between candidates' skills and the actual demands of the role.
Continuous Learning: Developers often find themselves constantly learning new technologies to stay relevant and meet project needs.
      Time Pressure and Burnout
Tight Deadlines: The pressure to deliver projects on time can lead to long hours and burnout.
Lack of Work-Life Balance: The fast-paced nature of software development can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
      Communication and Collaboration Challenges
Misaligned Goals: Miscommunication and misunderstandings between developers, project managers, and stakeholders can lead to delays and quality issues.
Remote Work Challenges: The increasing prevalence of remote work can make it difficult to establish strong communication and collaboration.
These challenges highlight the need for innovative approaches to software development that can help address these issues. For example, low-code/no-code platforms and AI-assisted development are emerging as potential solutions to streamline the development process and reduce the burden on developers.
Would you like to discuss any of these challenges in more detail, or explore potential solutions?
