      i actually don't think this will work (don't know for sure) but the thing is try to always go for 8 or 16 or 32 or 64 gb of ram like for example right know you have an 6 of ram if you have 8x1 then just buy another ram with 8gb so you will have 16 in dual chanel mode or if you have it in 4x2 then just get another 4x2 to full upp all ram slots. If you want even more ram then 16 gb just go for matching sticks but with more ram cappacity like 8x4 for total of 32gb or 16x2

      Next step is to reset the CMOS, I don't have a video on this yet but there's plenty out there you can view. Basically you take the coin battery out of your motherboard for a few seconds and insert it back in (sometimes there's a jumper you need to do the same thing to). Now the board will be reset to default (this won't adjust any of your programs or files on your drives). Continue to try and debug the RAM (insert each module individually into each slot to rule out if there's any issues with either). Also blow out the slots if you haven't yet.

    • @Torqcx

    1:30 I think you just helped me solve my problem I've been having since I upgraded to 4 sticks. Maybe someone can verify this for me though. So at most I've been able to get my pc to recognize 3 of the 4 sticks. In conversation with someone a while back they said it may be that I was installing them in the wrong order. After seeing this part of the video I looked at my motherboard and it has a bracket pointing to two of the slots on that diagram that's labeled "first". So I took all the ram out and installed them again passing the first two sticks in those slots. It's slots DIMMA2 and DIMMB2. And now as I'm writing this I think it may still be wrong. Should I do DIMMA2, DIMMB2, DIMMA1, DIMMB1 or DIMMA2, DIMMA1, DIMMB2, DIMMB1?
    I'm waiting on my new graphics card to show up so I can't just boot it up to check. Maybe someone here knows though.

    what happen if you install 16 (4x4gb) ddr 3 1333 and the system only shows you got 8GB (2x4 gb) ram? booting screen shows the PC spec and show it has 8gb, and after stsytem start up i checked the taskmanager also show 8gb ram. dont know how to fix it. 4 rams is totally work with A1B1 or A1B2.

    If the motherboard has 4 slots and it says a dual channel motherboard and you fill all the slots with 8gb ram of same brand and same frequency then will you get 32gb ram ( 8+8+8+8) or just 16gb ram (8+8)?? . And if just 16gb then why 4 slots are there??

    • @Torqcx
      @Torqcx  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With each slot occupied with 8GB modules you will get 32GB of Dual-Channel RAM.

    What if i do 2x dual Channel ram
    2x 8GB with 3600MHz
    and
    2x 8GB with 2400MHz
    Will it work?

    • @Torqcx
      @Torqcx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might, but it might not. There's no harm in trying, but it's always recommended to get the same exact make and model of RAM when installing multiple modules.

    I got 2 stick 8GB x 2
    Both on 2nd and 3rd Slot *1st and 4th slot empty*
    Yet my CPU-Z showing Dual channel. Am i doing something wrong or is it actually dual channel ?

    • @Torqcx

      It's possible that's just how your motherboard is configured to run its memory modules. Try running another program to double check it is you want to be thorough.

    How about 2 Ram stick mother board?

    • @Torqcx

      Do you mean a motherboard with only two RAM slots? If so, just filling both of them should make the system run in dual-channel mode.
