The extra wire that is blanked off you refer to is for the optional GPS unit which sits on a bracket under the tail seat pad (where your pillion strap resides).

Hi, it’s quite simple really… my other video shows the install using the original wires and connectors
All you had to do was pull down a little harder and it would have come out.
