This is a tactical skirmish game that pits 2 players against each other, each commanding 5 operators, either eliminating their opponent's operators, or completing a mission before their opponent!

Technically LOS of an operator is 360 degrees while overwatch is determine the arc for reacting to your opponent. So if a hidden operator moves behind you while you are overwatching the front, the hidden operator is immediately revealed but you don't react to them since they are outside your overwatching arc. Only reason why I mention this is some players think overwatching means your LOS is limited to just in front of you which isn't true. While overwatching you still have 360 degree LOS but will only react to your opponent when they enter the front half of your LOS circle.
Thank you so much for that insight! I was also of the thought that overwatching limited your line of sight to 180 degrees. Very good to know and makes a lot of sense.
@@CardboardHunter I find myself learning new things or correcting my misconception on 6: Siege often myself. The problem sometimes is that a general rule could be followed by an exception several pages later in a single sentence that is easy to miss. Case in point, smoke overlay and throwable gadgets not being bound to broken LOS through smoke... 😅

@@CardboardHunter Thanks you so much ! Yes, hopefully. Sadly the campaign debacle is the highlight at the moment, and there are few chances this game will have a future in this form with another publisher..
@@jbgaillet806 Yea it's really disappointing that those bad business decisions have overshadowed such an amazing game. In my opinion, the only chance of successfully moving this to a publisher would have to be to a publisher that already has an existing Ubisoft license agreement, or at least some successful history with them. The obvious choice being CMON, as they clearly have interest in Mythic properties (and successful game IP license projects), but after seeing Arcane Wonders pull off the impossible and get the license from Disney / Marvel for an international print run of Comic Hunters, they may also be up to the task for this one.
@@CardboardHunter If CMON were the ones to buy the game, they would revamp it into a way more streamlined version of it, with way less replayability and components. Make sense for them, but it won't be the same game at all
@@jbgaillet806 yea you're probably right about that. When you guys decide to work on something new please keep me in the loop and I'd love to playtest / provide feedback and highlight the game when it's ready.

I've been loving every game of it! The biggest challenge has been trying to convert people into my gaming group into 6: Siege players lol
nice review for a game that deserves a new publisher to really take off. one remark: you might want to peel off the protective sheet on the LoS rulers :)

Yep, this game cost a fortune and it's worth every cent. IMHO easily the best tactical skirmish game of all time and probably the best wargame of all time.

Seems like a fun game! Always wished I had the time/scope for lifestyle games; Guardians of Atlantis II is one I've always wanted to try out. The whole Mythic Games thing really sucks, but I'm glad people are still able to find enjoyment from their creations.

i enjoyed GOA2 but no-one else in my group did. it's great and the combos you can pull off are great but the movement to get you in that position to do so is frustrating as hell. there's just not enough movement points available.
Great review, any chance of a video going over your storage box? A lot of people missed out on the extra box from mythic and are looking for solutions.

Completely agree and I even started to but I haven’t played Kill Team and didn’t want to totally misspeak. I really really want to try Kill Team soon
