Dude thank you so much for this. The yoke (or at least that's what someone called it) broke on mine, so I had to replace it. But until I saw this video I didn't know there were screws on the inside keeping the two pivot points in place.
i also encountered that rattling problem on my skullcandy crushers on my right earcup.. the fix that ive done is ive secured it tightly the bass amplifier and put som cotton in bwtween the screws.. and presto the rattling sounds was gone..

Ive went through about 5 pairs of crusher 360s because of the rattling. Every pair had it in at least 1 ear. I knew it wasnt the speaker because it would get drowned out at high volumes. Going to try this and see if it works
Ok so I figured out the actual cause of the rattle sound. It’s cause by the thin gray flexible metal. It’s so thin that it breaks apart from the magnetic coil and the metal plate and it hits the other parts in there so if you see that there is a disconnect from the metal trim it just a tiny bit shorter so it doesn’t hit the other parts when you put it back together. Also technically the metal plate isn’t supposed to come off completely but it doesn’t matter so much if it does so not much to worry there. Just trim the broken pieces and glue back together (preferably super glue).
@Noxi There was no problem with the sound (but the voice prompt is still louder on one side), and there is no problem currently with the bass (something you have to tough out)
@@thebarbiter4644 ive been through 4 pairs due to the plastic defect but the voice prompt is normal and it might just be your ears or something but if your not sure do this test th-cam.com/video/J0a2Prc_MQo/w-d-xo.html start from 5:23 :)
Ive also noticed the source makes a different.. it rattles the most when connected to my Note 8. I bought my skullcrusher wireless since Christmas and noticed a few months later that I can hear a cracking or rattling sound in my left ear. I sometimes hear it often even when I’m just moving around (Ex. Eating or walking) it’s really annoying when I’m trying to listen to a video but when I listen to music with the bass up I sometimes can hear it a little when the bass it really high with the volume all the way up. I bought these at Best Buy and I’m wondering if I’ll be able to do a trade, repair or turn it? Idk just something to at least fix the problem since I’m literally thinking about buying the crusher 360s instead but don’t wanna spend too much money.
