you should short-throw the mud into the cracks and holes, the force of a percised throw will make if fill* and grab everything much better.
anything rope access related was brilliant, good job!

Is it ok to use Shunt for belay? I do use it. But heard that it's stricly not for belay. Otherwise it's great job!

It's not. it looks like hes just using it here to keep his tools in place on a 3rd line. you can use a shunt as a replacement for your hand ascender though.

This is an old video from a time that shunt was still widely used as a back up device in industrial climbing. Nowadays there are a variety of purpose made back up devices for industrial climbing that are used as a autolocking back up device should a fall occur. Shunt originally was designed as a belay device and rope grab for leisure climbing if I remember rightly and then started being used as a back up in industrial climbing back in the day when there wasn't other options on market.

Drones with lasers will destroy their job

It’s not going to be anytime soon. I have be a rope access tech for many years. I have seen many companies come out on jobs with us saying there drone can do the job. And it always goes down the same, Ether they can’t get it in position or there equipment is having some kind of glitch or there half a million dollar drone just flys away and they need us to climb something to retrieve it, or if flys off and they never find it. I’m not worried about a drone taking my job.
