  • Climbing a rope (ascending an anchor line) is the second basic technique in rope access and is
accomplished by the alternate use of two ascending devices, typically a chest ascender and a handled
    ascender with a foot loop.
The controlled descent of ropes is a core technique in rope access. Rope access Technicians must be
able to control their speed and stop as required.

Hi, something I pick up with technicians a lot is they like to grab the rope when ascending and not the ascender. I noticed you did the same in the first move. Personal opinion, it is not good practice as you will get rope burn on the hands if there is a slip.

I noticed that you had 4 cowstails. And also your short (or hard) link was made up from the middle of the cowstails.
When I did my level 1 we only had 2 cowstails and we used a short link made up of either 3 carabineers, or a specialist short link.
So, I just wondered why you had 4 cowstails instead of just 2 like I was originally trained with?
