Looks like your feeling better :) You have gotten alot faster on the rebuilds . Not much slows you down , I remember when you broke your finger last year , just a bump in the road . I sure did learn alot when you went step by step as you went along . Gerry
@krazy45cat Thanks Gerry I am glad to hear from you again. Today I had to shut down early because my damn knee was getting to swollen & it look like it was going to pop in two. I will put a new video up tomorrow.
@TheDieselStop Couple of months hopefully...not getting much time on it at the moment due to being busy on the farm, but got the motor pretty much together ready for trial fitting as soon as the gearbox turns up!
@jonesd5o Is what I will end up doing is later on down the road is putting the big p-pump (p7100) on it. That is the plan when I start the cool upgrades on it.
would be at all possible in your next video that you could talk about the 3 o rings in the fill tube because i dont have any idea where there are located. thanks
@delmontcrusier Thanks & as far as it goes with the Black Betty build it will be for Friday night fun & the 1/4 mile track. I want to get it into the diesel power magazine and others.
@R3dDi3se1 Kick back & just watch for the next video. I will let everyone know because you were not the only one to ask this Question. This motor is for the Mahle project, Not Tan Or Black Betty.
i had oil all over the front of my engine. can a steep grade of 50-80 cause oil to leak out of the oil fill cap. need some help on what could of caused.
im confused what motor is for what project! is this going in the tan truck or is that one you videod from the junk yard going in? and which is going in black betty project?
@TheDieselStop Wish I could....one day....Very rare to see the cummins motors over here other than in lorrys etc, as no one has big trucks here, fuels to £££!
im confused what motor is for what project! is this going in the tan truck or is that one you videod from the junk yard going in? and which is going in black betty project? either way keep up the great vids and hope you knee is better soon! :)
yea i am familiar with that project lol just dont know much about what all has to be done to some of the older mechanical engines to make the power i dont get in to the pumps at the shop we either replace em or farm the work out
this is awesome man! definitely makes me want to get a cummins... i dont have anything big enough for the 6bt, but i could stuff a 4bt into my 4runner :)
I see you bail hay sometimes. Are you a diesel mechanic as an occupation? Enjoy watching you do your nice work. I have had Powerstrokes and currently am driving a '09 Silverado LTZ 4 x 4 Duramax. I've not yet owned a Dodge, but perhaps in the future.
hi , love your channel :-)..need a advice... just installed a hamilton cam 188/220 in my 98 12 valve .. with the cam and trustplat n in can push/pull the cam back and forth like 0.045".. is this the way it should be or ?? dosn´t feel right to me tho..
@ShnitzlHaus If I was going to push more than 500HP with this motor I would. I am only going for the 450HP area with this motor. My Black Betty 1000HP build I will.
Very glad to see u back and working on the motor happy to see your knee is healing well
Starting to take shape! Going to be a fun build to watch!

The Mahle Clevite Cummins is starting to look good !!
@roadkillrob1 I miss read it the first time. There is 3 0'rings to that fill tube so I could see that happening.
Wow! looking like your getting back on your feet!! Glad to see your getting back to some fun!!
Thanks again Wayne. Another great informative video on a 5.9L rebuild. Looking forward to part 2.
@TheNeal666 I am only going to push this one to 75-85 LBS of boost. The Black Betty will be more like 135 LBS of boost.
Great job Wayne glad the knee is getting better
@jonesd5o Is what I will end up doing is later on down the road is putting the big p-pump (p7100) on it. That is the plan when I start the cool upgrades on it.

@MrRoberoni117 Thanks & I am glad you like them.
@RockinGuy1994 Trust me I have been. I do not want to go through the same thing again. Thanks for stopping by.

@mbyr31 Thanks for stopping by.
@mdk70454 Yep 2 weeks after a full knee replacement here I am building a cummins.
Looks good twins would be awesome, how much boost would that be?
@roadkillrob1 I have one that I am going to post tonight & when I get back out to the shop working on the project I will do that for you.
@Gasser4x4 That will be a pain in the rear to do all that in the truck. Good luck.
@R3dDi3se1 Kick back & just watch for the next video. I will let everyone know because you were not the only one to ask this Question. This motor is for the Mahle project, Not Tan Or Black Betty.
@SCBianchi LOL I am glad you enjoy the videos. Good to know that people are getting addicted to the Cummins diesel.
@darrenjlobb When are you planning on having your build done?
i had oil all over the front of my engine. can a steep grade of 50-80 cause oil to leak out of the oil fill cap. need some help on what could of caused.
would you not want to install a lower engine girdle while your at the bottom end!??
@Graveltrucking Yep thanks for watching.
im confused what motor is for what project! is this going in the tan truck or is that one you videod from the junk yard going in?

Good to see you making video's again.
Top notch video. Would one of these cummina fit in my Grand cherokee? 450 hp! How much torque. 2000 lbs?
Nice job . Quality workmanship !

@Panzer1981vtr1000sp1 I like working with clean bolts & parts on a new motor. Thanks for watching.
is the ve pump you hot rodded up gonna be enough to make 450 hp? or do you plan on the 14 mm pump head?
yea i am familiar with that project lol just dont know much about what all has to be done to some of the older mechanical engines to make the power i dont get in to the pumps at the shop we either replace em or farm the work out
Nice!!! That´s how it´s done! Clean and perfect!

Where did you get your engine stand? I'm starting to gather up the necessary parts to do my own build, and I need a stand and a crane.
@ShnitzlHaus If I was going to push more than 500HP with this motor I would. I am only going for the 450HP area with this motor. My Black Betty 1000HP build I will.

That hightack is good stuff, but if you ever have to take those pieces apart again you will need a jackhammer to get them off again. Lol
