One of the few youtubers who is testing out this feature (at least the first one). I really wonder why, cuz that function was wished by many. However, would have been great to see also the diffs with cloud settting on. I personally would choose the ingame solution, so that i dont have to hassle around with another programm, there are anyhow already running many additional programs toghether with the sim (AAO, littlenavmap, navigraph charts,...).
I used the dynamic setting once in the sim and right away said nope this isn't going to cut it for me. Then auto FPS came out for 2024 and I went right back to it and it worked great. For me it's, Auto FPS all day everyday, it just works better and gives me more control. Not only that, it's free. Auto FPS worked fantastic for me in 2020 and is doing the same in this sim. You know what they say, if it ain't broke then don't fix it lol. P.S. I too thought perhaps I wouldn't need auto FPS in 2024, I was wrong. When it came over to 2024 I was happy to see it.
Grateful for this. But I don’t understand choosing TAA when you’re rendering the full 4K picture and then painting it 1:1 on the screen. Isn’t antialiasing for when your sim is rendering fewer pixels and you need an algorithm to fill in the extra screen pixels?
Autofps is a big no go for me. It took my quality down. Now DLSS 4 with frame gen changed the sim completely. If you haven't used DLSS swapper and tried version 4 trust me do it. It's not like the past upgrade versions this time you can see the improvement immediately. For once they actually improved the glass cockpit. It is so much crisper and cleaner. Can't say enough about DLSS 4.
I use MSFS AutoFPS and it works great. Before I even try to use Dynamic Settings I would like to know exactly what parameters it is changing, how, and when. The lack of this information from Asobo is not really acceptable.
With cards like 4070 and 4070 super the VRAM is limited to 12GB. Frame Gen eats up a lot of VRAM and whilst he doesn't have a 4070, I think he's trying to be representative for other simmers with different GPUs.
Frame generation actually doesn't make new proper frames. It only helps to smooth out the frames that the sim is actually creating. Kind of awful when your inputs don't actually bring as many results as you want.
@@TheGarlicMan Chill out bro I use 2 monitors and Losless works just as fine. And I used to have a single monitor setup, it worked great. Why the hate?
It’s not meant to make the game look better it’s meant to improve performance but it kinda adds a fuzzy look on the cockpit instruments which personally, I hate
You need to give DLSS 4 a shot. It's a game changer unlike previous upgrade versions. DLSS 4 with quality set is like flipping a switch. It won me over instantly
Tobii Eye Tracker 5 Work-around solution for MSFS 2024: help.tobii.com/hc/en-us/articles/30239964379409-Known-Issue-Tobii-Eye-Tracker-5-not-working-as-expected-in-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-2024
Thanks, that's what exactly I was looking for. Is there any way to change the proportion of head Vs eye tracking like 2020?
YOOOOO, i remember when i was on your streams, and had 3K followers, what a grind.

Great video and proper comparison. Science!!

I agree 100%! I laugh at those who just write it off without trying it! A definite generational advancement!
How do you get version 4? The latest I’m seeing in the swapper is 310.1.0
Really great test
Hello mate love ur videos
U should really use GPU-Z with AutoFPS for proper results
Thanks and will try this. for some reason looking at your settings I dont have the supersampling option eg 2X ! any ideas?
The simple answer is yes. You're better off with AutoFPS, especially with the new version. AutoFPS does a much better job than the sim does at LOD.
I use MSFS AutoFPS and it works great. Before I even try to use Dynamic Settings I would like to know exactly what parameters it is changing, how, and when. The lack of this information from Asobo is not really acceptable.
The tobi eye tracker is not working in Microsoft 2024?
It does, mine is fine…… set up a tad tricky, but all ok.
@ how are you setting it up? Mine works fine in 2020. Not in 2024
I bought Tobii 5 for 515 AUD mid month, now it is 395 AUD 😭
Why are you not using Frame Generation?

Because DLSS makes much of the glass cockpit instruments ghost up and look like ass. This problem will be solved with the imminent release of DLSS 4.
DLSS FG doesn't blur the displays. DLSS AA and SS blurs them. DLSS 4 hasn't fixed this.
25fps in 2D? 😮
I use lossless scaling and get a good fps
@@TheGarlicMan Why would you need 2 monitors??? Head tracking or VR is way to go anyway.
@@TheGarlicMan Chill out bro I use 2 monitors and Losless works just as fine. And I used to have a single monitor setup, it worked great. Why the hate?
def turn dynamic off AutoFPS is way better
I don't use DLSS at all. I have found it makes MSFS20/24 look worse not better.
It’s not meant to make the game look better it’s meant to improve performance but it kinda adds a fuzzy look on the cockpit instruments which personally, I hate
Lot better with DLSS 4 .

@@vizzieizzy-Benjamin does it still make the instruments look fuzzy or no?
@@vizzieizzy-Benjamin I have a 4070 Super, and DLSS 4 is only for the new 50xx cards.
Unless I'm wrong, as of today Jan 27, 2025, autofps is not compatible with SU1 Beta.
Yes I’m hearing similar!
It was updated in GitHub near enough instantly. Working well with the latest test build of AutoFPS
@@AirNOTT yes it is, there is a test3 release on github, works great
Fully computable with SU1. Test Update on GitHub to AutoFPS was made available almost instantly.
Yup
1 minute gang right here
Nope dynamic lod is better
Agreed. I use the Reset edition
….another magic trick……Useless as putting a band-aid on a broken leg….
