You don't have to remove the filters of the top panel, you can just clean the top panel itself under running water, other case manufacturers does this now.
I bought this case and installed the ASUS Z790 Hero with 3 M2 drives totaling 9tb and 64gb Corsair vengeance 6000 ram. I am temporarily using a PNY 4070 w 12gb ram and a 1250 watt corsair modular PSU. I installed 3 140mm fans on top for exhast.
At 3:26, what are the ports above the capacitors on the ARGB fan hub? What type of cable do they use? Also, do I need to plug the sata cable to the power supply to get all the case lighting to work?
@@JULVEXGAMING PWM or what? The PWM connectors I have seen are too thick to fit into that so that's what is confusing to me. Can you reference a cable by any chance?
@@seyeRFunnnnn no those aren't PWM are different proprtary that are powering the hub from SATA , check out here: rog.asus.com/cases/rog-hyperion-gr701-model/helpdesk_manual/
The reason I subscribed is that most videos I've come across spout the same stuff about this case and don't go into enough detail you told me things I wanted to know like what comes along with the case and what cables do I get etc., too many just do a showcase video with music and don't explain a whole lot and skip head during the process but you showed it in Realtime I appreciate that because I currently have £300 saved and i'm looking to see if I can get a slight price drop below £400 I missed an opportunity last week for getting it at £347 then plus the HerculeX as a bundle for just over £380 if my maths are right it might happen again in November... but I have made my mind up with much research even though I don't need it for my current rog hardware a Helios would be fine but I want it to last and I dunno how big the 5000 will be or the 6-7000 series of gpus will be not to mention the extra weight the Hyperion can handle it can handle more than my own weight on those handles and a 460mm gpu and not to mention it's top end with those 20gbs usb-c ports plenty of room for expansion and upgrade at first I thought it was ugly but the more builds I see the more I want it the Helios is last years model(it is like several years old)! With those and many other things in mind I see it as an investment even if it's overkill for what I have now it wont be and i'll be glad If I can get at least 12 years out of this case i'll be happy I mean I should for the price! I've decided I'm gonna get those custom stickers for the front and inside to theme it and considering I think at least in the UK it is one of the largest if not the largest EATX gaming case (don't quote me on that) so I decided since it's a large mechanical looking monster I am aptly gonna theme it on the mechanical version of the king of the monsters himself the mech king Mecha-Godzilla (I prefer my lights red and this case looks the part already) I'm gonna find one of those Godzilla toys and rewire it and give it new rgb lighting instead of blue then I'm gonna wire it with a LED Header and plug it into the FAN/LED header controller at the back of the case and sit Godzilla inside so when I change the system lights Godzilla's spikes, eyes and mouth will light up whatever I want it to! I was a major fan as a kid and sort of grown out of it but as I started hitting my mid twenties I got back into it with the movies and such now I'm 30 and I'm a big fan of godzilla and don't get me wrong I like king kong too just not as much as I did as a kid, I like dragons and lizards and such so it makes sense! I still have a glow in the dark puppet 90's movie Godzilla that has a voice box that used to play sounds (as I learn a electronics i'll try to see if I can repair that in the future it's one of the few things from my childhood that I didn't deface with permanent marker!
Thank you! I appreciate it I believe that maybe for the Amazon Prime days or black Friday you should get this case for a good price ; good idea the godzilla mod :)
Do you know if the front fans have a extensor / splitter cable or the cables from the fans are long enough ? I wanna change the fans, but not sure if i need a splitter/extensor cable or if the case already have one.
Hi, thanks for this video, I bought this case, but I have some doubts about the FAN HUB, The wires that are connected at the top-left what are for? when I started mounting it I removed all the wires, and now I don't remember what to connect there :)
@@JULVEXGAMING I was refering to the SATA ones, seems it need two of them just for the HUB, I don't know why need 2 btw, anyway thanks for your reply, actually my bad, I wanted to say top-right
Can you explain why the internal fans in place of the RGB panel are placed in the flow direction chosen. I am building one and want to understand the logic.
Thanks@@JULVEXGAMING The fans are in the case so just moving air around but it does seem to pull it around to the front of the board so the flow of air will be directed more over the RAM, CPU, CRM and Hard Drives so fair enough.
The bracket on the rear fan is to completely remove the turbulence noise when fans are near a metal mesh especially for >2500RPM fans.
You’re right, that’s something I was thinking too
You don't have to remove the filters of the top panel, you can just clean the top panel itself under running water, other case manufacturers does this now.
Sure you can do that, but if you install fans as exhaust fans on the top panel having the chance to easily remove the filter can help with the airflow

Yo bro im planning to build pc in this case, should i add 3x fans at the rog plate?

Those are 4pins to sata cable for powering the hub and fans/lights; yes you need to connect the sata cable for power

They are long enough and you have included also the hub if you want to manage fans

Those are installed as intake fans for better airflow - usually the front and the side fans are intakes
