Very good advice. I think most people do not understand that the K CPU's are more for the enthusiasts and with some simple bios changes you can run them extremly well with no temprature issues. Most motherboards manufactures have been pushing too much voltage at stock but with a simple undervolt or restricting to 253w you should have no problems provided you have a good cooler and for the 14900K at least a 360mm AIO. I had a 13700K which I undervolted on an adaptive plus offset at a max of 1.245v and it provided a Cinebench score of just a fraction over 30K which was great and no issues on tempratures at the 80's degrees C. I now have a 14900K delidded aand it just scored over 41K on the Cinebench R23 multi-core test with an adaptive plus offset at 1.325v max....all core at 5.6GHz with 2 cores hitting 6GHz...temps hit max 92 degrees C...

I saw on BIOS that my ram speed was at 4000 but I am not sure how to correctly set it up for best performance. What would you suggest how to do my settings? I'm new to this
Theres absolutely no reason why this shouldnt work right out of the box. I can understand that if you want to deviate from the defaults thats on you and your expertise, but expecting the customer to be changing BIOS settings just to get standard performance is ridiculous. Intel has been beating this dead horse for years even detailing exactly what would need to be set for the BIOS and MSI, ASUS, etc still dont do anything. The last 2 generations of CPUs have had this problem and its getting old. Especially with an entire new gen coming up with a completely new architecture. Id bet money that theres gonna be a huge stumble getting those out on the market because of this laziness.
if you want something that works out of the box go for the non K series processors. buying an unlocked processor and never tweaking the bios settings is like buying a car with a sunroof addon and never using it
Using Z790 tomahawk max with 14900k and more demanding cpu games are crashing randomly at 125/253w307a, same withshort long duration power 253w. Only settings that are not crashing for me now are new intel default specs 125w/188w/249A. But perfomance is way way down.... so disapointed in intel. was going with ryhzen since ryzen 1st gen and wanted to check if intell is more stable with memory and better at MMOs... Its kinda faster alit bit, but now we are loosing advertised perfomance.
I say it's not about heat, It's about 13th 14th Intel CPUs' work style, I did all kinda undervolt things, but still I got BSOD, Because when CPU gets the 100 Celsius or what 85-90 etc you altered limit, Even if you don't limit, The processor lowers its work, Its work heavy loaded on CPU, Like a Mule dropping his burdens one by one, Then crash. At first I thought that if i get a good arctic 420 then it'll supress heat then will work fine, Nah!! itdidn't. So I bought 7950x3d+motherboard mounted with same Arctic 420 it's worknig perfect for now...
@@ArshaBDO I have the 13900k right now and when I play it always reach 98-100% even with this settings in the video. I even upgraded my bios to test this but no luck. I’m reconsidering on getting the 7800x3d and partner it to my msi rtx 4090. Idk but tried most of the things in the internet but man this cpu is really hot. I encounter a lot of problems with my peripherals like input lag, even tho I have high fps with 280hz monitor and fast internet connection. I have the apex pro kb and g pro superlight x 2. It’s frustrating man

the 13700k need the full CPU current Limit at 512A with that i could him running on 5.4 ghz and 4.3 ghz e cores with cool LLC 6 no blue screens no freeze anything he have cool temperatures and needs no undervolting. The CPU need no undervolting to run right with an water cooling couldn't understand why this so many on youtube show wrong for 13. i7 and i9 and 14. gen too. is use ASUS motheroard for my 13700k
so you are saying the full current limit of 511 amps is safe and it wont damage the cpu in long run unlike the voltage which needs to be negative offset a bit ? also whats ur power limits?

SVID voltage 1.2300 on LLC 6 and input LLC 1 or 2.

@@regerah6602 As a first suggestion I would recommend activate the XMP profile on the BIOS and see if that is working fine

Combine this with the fact that I can only run 2 sticks orfRAM while enabling XMP and this whole thing has been an utter failure in my mind.

No, the 12600K shouldn't have any of this issues, updating the BIOS is recommended anyway

This is a very bad idea your cpu will not be long for this world. You need to keep the PL1 at 125 and PL2 at 253.

With that CPU you might not need to change much, but I would suggest to update your BIOS anyways
