- 1991 What a year! T2 in the cinema, Guns N Roses in my CD player and the first Image issue, Youngblood 1 in my hands! It didn't get better for a 15 year old. So let's pay homage to the greats. Redrawing that iconic album cover.
As always, I’m using Adobe Photoshop and my trusty Wacom intuos for drawing.
Want me to draw something for you?

I love the extrapolation of Robs style ticks. I could easily imagine him doing an X-Force over like this.
Boom Boom's tattoo ;-)
This is awesome, I love your pop culture takes, not everything needs to be action it can be fun stuff related to music
Thanks! Another thing that gets cemented into our minds at a young age right. Rock!
Looks so cool! Great job!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Nicely done Retro! I know that I keep repeating myself, but you really are improving on your art.
Thank you! I try to not have that next day regret when looking at a drawing, so telling myself not to rush.
You are welcome. I know what you mean, I try not to do that sometimes myself. By the way, it is funny you mentioned T2 in your video, because the theme has been in my head for a couple of days now.😀🎵
@@robertcarey45 lol, du du duuuuuu
@retrosuperheroart2202 LOL 😆
I can't help it, that theme and movie is so epic.
The artwork no one asked for. Well done!
lol!! Thanks
Great fun!!!
T2 "Come with me if you want to have some fun" ;-)
Interesting project right there using Leifield’s style for an album cover, although fun fact Todd McFarlane and fellow Image Comics artists Greg Capullo (penciller) and Brian Haberlin (colorist) did the artwork for the album of Korn,s Follow the Leader and McFarlane even did the animation for the music video of the very same song, the same name
Don't forget McFarlanes involvement with Pearl Jams video for Do The Evolution
Cool! strange to see McFarlane in that style, but definitely him looking at that hair.
One two three four. Very cool
Thank you
Plz can i ask
sure
@@retrosuperheroart2202 how do you thing of scaling in part you want
@@Atomic-toons00 Every part of the drawing is on a different layer, so I can use the transform tool (command + T on a mac) to resize everything. Very useful.
@@retrosuperheroart2202 ok what about proportion how you know where to put body part like legs and arms without ending with good drawing and bad figure
Lot's of practice and flipping the canvas L/R to get a fresh view on the drawing. It takes a while..
ROB LIEFELD is probably the worst ''professional'' artist.
lol, I'm still fascinated by him. There's stuff that's rushed in his work, but on other parts he spends so much time and he definitely has a unique style.
