Tip: B4 tightening down exhaust nuts and rear bracket. Leave loose so you can pull out exhaust away from bike so you can get Allen key on foot mount bolts without scratching heat shields. 2012 iron 883
@@rtbt8185 i just ordered it for my 07 low so i was checking out the install videos, the s&s channel has a superstreet 2-1 install video for a sportster similar to this one and they had the mid controls foot peg on when when installing the new header and it looked easy enough. But you make a good point because not every setup is the same. Does there appear to be enough room to run those long ass wide band sensors?
I watched that vid too. Not sure how I didn’t catch that! My o2 sensors went in pretty good and everything else was straight forward. Definitely takes more than 20 min haha
I love the look and sound of this exhaust. Just installed it yesterday. Unfortunately, there is no FP3 map for it so I am looking around for comparable exhausts in their database.
No, no joy. I've been live tuning the heck out of it and it is running well. Unfortunately, I think there is power left to be had and I can't quite get rid of decel pop.
@@jontehdj it's definitely louder than the stock. I'd place it between stock and short shots for sound, with it being loud enough with a nice bass note, but not so loud that I'm worried about pissing off the neighborhood.
Should've done a sound clip with the baffle removed also. Not many people are gonna leave the baffle in as stock since it's basically as quiet as stock.
So I have this bike and I’m looking to install this exhaust since I’m moving to CA. However, I have HD’s “More Forward” Mid controls installed. Moves the mid controls up by 3”. Would this exhaust fit with these controls installed?
Baby Patrick I just installed E3 spark plugs Cannon air filter 2 into 1 bassani exhaust on my 09 XR 1200 no bike will not idle check engine light is intermittent any advice would be welcome yes the bike brand Primo before I started bummer
First thing I would try is swapping back to the original plugs and see if it clears up. Then check for an intake leak. Eliminate potential problems from the change you made 1 by 1. -Patrick
I’ve seen a post on HDforum from a guy that reduced his baffle to a 4 inches total length (not sure how much et actually cut off) and actually improved the sound without any performance lost. On a DYNA so I wonder if I can do the same on my S&S for my sportster
I did that to mine also after seeing that video i cut off every but a 1/2 inch from the plate. It gave my bike a much better sound and a lot more mid range power.
This is the exact tutorial I needed for my 2020 sporty exhaust install! So detailed! Thank you!
That is a wicked looking and sounding exhaust! I think I’m going to have to put that on my wish list…
Do's the S&S system reduce the ground clearance "it looks lower than stock"

Or you could just put your foot peg on first.
I think the peg would be in the way when installing the headers. It was a little tricky. Did you install this pipe?

Did you ever find one? I was going to buy the FP3 but the demo mode on their app didn’t show this exhaust.

@@pdk005 call Vance and Hines they can try to customize a map for you. They did it for my 883 with a 1200 kit
how loud is it in comparison to the stock exhaust?

Has anyone used this pipe with a 1250 or 1275 kit? If so how did it perform?
Do you have this S&S Exhaust for sale in stock
Will the 07-13 superstreet exhaust fit 14-20 sportsters?
Do you have to tune this exhaust? What kind of tuner?
One example is the Vance and Hines fuel pack3
I ordered the same exhaust but the bracket is different i have a Harley Iron 2022. Do you possibly have the part number for the bracket that was used?
did you ever find a bracket?
Does the exhaust get in the way of the passenger pegs being installed?
