Love this. Hanging at your buddy’s place drinking a few cold ones and going completely bass brain on each other and other people. Takes me back to the good old days. Only thing is Scott is just a bit better fisherman than me and my buddies lol. Every time i see his videos like this i swear i see the magic that has kept me addicted to fishing my whole life. Just preparing my tackle for twilight, the magical 1/2 hour that happens 2 times a day whilst hanging out with good friends and family. People want to know the meaning of life. This is it. The dream that you believe in and the hope that tomorrow you can ride the twilight where true magic exists.
Great video, the yellow tennis ball on the graph mount had the family laughing so hard! I used to put two on original Lowrance paper graph, one on my color selector and one on my PH guide!! Did it to protect my boat covers. Wow!! What a flashback. We’re sending a ton of prayers this week for sure and we’ll be following everyday. That all white Googan Grass Hero (swim jig) has become one of my all-time favorite lures. I fish Rayburn pretty regularly and it never fails to put fish in the boat.

With whopper plopper style baits I add a swivel to the hook and some other top waters. But it helps so the bait doesn’t twist and put as much pressure on the hook to pop it out when they head shake . That trick could even work with other baits as well. Hope this was helpful for some people. God bless

Catching crappie without livescope is a little tougher, I'm using lowrance down image, but unless the piles are deep they spook off the pile when troll over it to drop a buoy marker. That's one of the advantages of having any forward facing sonar
My next house is going to be like that too. It is so annoying when you have to store your boat somewhere other then home and bring it in on weekends and hitch/unhitch a lot. Be so nice to be able to just back into a garage on Friday, hook up and not unhook all weekend. Not to mention having all the gear right there next to the boat. That’s a real man cave.

Unrelated to this video. But like you can tell Siri what groceries you need, their needs to be something you can accurately track your catches in real time with gps tracking so you can say “3 bass 12lbs on a white swim bait” and it will pinpoint the location, time, and date so that over time you will build data to help in tournaments in future yrs. It would be a great tool for practice also. Something like this may already exist. But considering Scott Martin isn’t using it, if it exists it needs drastically improved. If not, I’m gonna contact Garmin! Great videos Scott!
