Short IMC flight in a Cessna 182T from Mena, AR to Ruston, LA | Able to log the RNAV 18 Approach

- Janis and I were able to log an official approach into Ruston, it's been a while since I was able to do that! We had a great time in Mena, AR at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, I still can't get over how good those Chicken Tenders were!!

Wow those new cameras blow the GoPros away with color and clarity. If this was filmed with the new ones I could sure tell the difference. Flying over the mountains is always amazing. Glad you got to spend some time in Ruston. I hope you had a wonderful visit. As always thanks for bringing us along with you guys. Blessings to you and your family!
We are loving these cameras!! I left the cameras in the front windshield without thinking and had to cool one down. But it started back up before takeoff and ran with no more problems.
Yes, we are VERY pleased with the new cameras, had a great time in Ruston/Destin/Shreveport . . .

I was more interested in trouble shooting the cameras in the beginning!
Few things are as satisfying as breaking out on an approach and seeing that runway! Good job!

Flying over the Daniel Boone national forest here at home I can relate to flying over all those trees, my video is named "Green and more green". Don't want to have any trouble in those areas for sure but you definitely look just in case! Great video as always!

“What in the world is she doing?” 🤣 if I had to guess she is preparing the portable fan 😂. The clouds were so pretty in this one. I agree with Janis, you don’t want to get lost down there. We have been turned around in the middle of nowhere and it’s not fun 😂. Made me so nervous looking for the runway in the clouds. Once you spotted it and the clouds cleared I could breath easy. I have a whole new appreciation for your videos now. Loved this one! 💕

The Arkansas country side was beautiful. I’ve been hunting for a country property in OK, AR, KY and other states to get away from time to time. Very nice approach!

Love the remoteness and none of the forest has been cut for timber. You can really tell from the air where the trees have been replanted after an area has been logged.

We just got back from a one month flying/airport tenting adventure all across eastern Canada. There was a few times the IFR would have come in handy. I'm gonna have to get that one of these days.

Absolutely, I saw a WayPoint at DTN and assumed it was for two people I know there and was already going to meet up with them anyway, so I didn't click on it to confirm. It was a WayPoint I set-up for you!!! That's ALL on ME and I apologize for not checking/clicking on the waypoint to ensure who it was. If I don't have an address on someone, I just make a WayPoint near the airport . . . My bust . . . we will be down again before too long and WILL make that happen!
