Pretty solid playing all around. Book was classic Cadets beats though unlike some previous years, there didn't seem to be many moments that really wowed me. Kinda seemed to be a trend with a lot of groups this year though, probably due to the amount of rookies across the board. Excited to see what these guys can bring next season.
I like the tuning.. and there was some good notes. What is their thinking behind not connecting the buzz rolls? Are they using them as a check? Also, why the met through the entire lot? Love the center snares facial expressions lol
Yeah they seem to be “press” buzzes, I’m sure that’s what you’re referring to. But when they have buzzes for at least two counts, they would connect them more.
I have to say I'm a fan of Cadets new approach to bass tuning as opposed to the last several years. It seems like they're letting the drums resonate more, especially 4 and 5. For me the sound carries and supports the upper voices much better, but it's still articulate. Very good balance in my opinion. Does anyone know what their bass drum diameters are?
The visuals make me uncomfortable. It's the same feeling I get seeing weird contrived human expressions -- like an uncanny valley but with real people.
You gotta remember this show is inspired by/molded around 1960s New York, which is frankly one of the most uncanny eras of human expression. I think it’s meant to be a little weird.
Classic TA beats. Nice solid, young line, and I hope they can build on this into next season. But please, oh please... do away with the over exaggerated facial expressions and air chopping. Good gravy folks.
Vic Firth is the goat. They make the best sticks, and give us great footage
best vic firth thumbnail
I do like that they still use some semblanace of the traditional uniform.
Lol... "Sembalance."
Alabama education system, on display.
@@ryancox1399 this was an unnecessary comment on a drum video Ryan

Boston wowed me the most imo
Who would have thought you don’t need Colin McNutt beats to get into finals lol
@@TDDrummer1 haha well it’s not like the cadets have some random dude writing. Aungst Cadets dynasty is alive and well.

San Antonio looks an awful lot like Indianapolis…

looks like 20-22-24-26-30..if not, it is 20-22-24-28-32. However, I believe bottom 2 are 26-30.

Vic Firth I never got my drum when I was a kid!!!!! 🥁

not until daddy tells him to 🤭
its his erotic desires, maybe
Dude he’s preforming his freakin heart out leave him alone
It’s called having fun and preforming
@billygraff5870 having fun and performing all the way to 6th place.
Why are we all biting the air? lol
its the new erotic look....
Hungry. They burn lots of calories.
For anyone that drums it’s hard to control your face, because you’re focused on playing
@drummersnare6276 pretty sure in the last....idk, 30, 40 years of DCI, there has been thousands of drummers that control their face and mouths.....
Where’s the cymbals 😢
in the pit likely. Many corps don't have cymbals marching on the battery, and they give that responsibility to the front ensemble.
The guy doing the faces single handedly brings all the energy to this line
These guys will never win drums again :/
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sadly true, since they're no longer touring :(
Noah
This is not a lot, it’s a park
True. But DCI "In the Park" just doesn't have that ring to it..
