Merging Evans Peters' Quicksilver with Pietro Maximoff was Disney and Marvel's way of teasing us, but also letting us know that they were going to start introducing these others "universes" into the MCU timeline. Same can be said about the Netflix properties that Disney acquired, like Daredevil and The Punisher.
I have a neighbor with the same powers as Wanda. It happens that her husband went on a trip for 3 months. As soon as he returned she became pregnant and at 7 months they had a huge and perfectly healthy baby. So I guess she also sped up time like Wanda did. rigth?

What's happening is that he's able to hear the thoughts of the people outside the barrier including his dad's with his mind. This is one of the earliest telepathic abilities Wanda had shown - I think she used this ability to read Ultron's thoughts back when Helen Cho was uploading him (Ultron) into Vision's body. Wanda's dialogue from AoU: "I can hear him. He's dreaming." This episode made us conclude that, with her reality warping ability, she subconsciously conjured her children in her and his brother's image and being, explaining why her children is demonstrating some of the abilities that she and Pietro have.
