Thank you for your videos. I find them informative and educational. I was able to have trains as a kid but Im catching up and your videos help us “newbie” types return to the hobby and figure out and find what interests us . Thank you again.
Ironically Lionel's decision to discontinue the front coupler on the 027 size Alco 202 made it more realistic by having a closed pilot. I have one that pulls a train of repainted Milwaukee special cars Where The Red Roof I painted solid orange to match the rest of the train. I also have one pulling a train of Baby Ruth and New York Central orange operating boxcars with an orange Marx caboose on a Lionel frame. I got one brand new several years ago for $100 including shipping runs like a champ. I called the dealer and told them what a great running engine it was right out of the box and he had a conniption fit that I took it out of the box and put it on the track to run it. I told him it was only $100 locomotive and what do I want to do have a shit on the shelf forever? The collectors have ruined the hobby well not quite but you know what I mean.
Great series on the Alcos! Love seeing the action cars! I too am an operator. Model trains are meant to be run!!!
I love all of your videos. Your series are so important for our hobby. Please keep up the great work and keep these fantastic videos coming.😊
Thanks for your compliment. Making new videos is my winter activity. I will start again in November.
Thank you for the update my friend. 😊 Frank

Cool Lionel history • Cheers from the Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Thank you. I enjoy your videos.
Wonderful presentation.
Love the videos as always, I cannot wait for more videos on steam the 200 series.
Always love your videos! You set the bar on postwar Lionels. 💯 I need to pick up one of those Rock Islands.
I have the 222 Rock Island from 1962. It is similar to your 221, but has no light and operates forward only. The coupler also is fixed.
Awesome 😎
very nice :)

Those are really cool toy trains! Why don’t they make similar trains today for children?
