I did your technique on the swollen lumpy side and it worked! It went down tremendously. I will work on it again tomorrow. I am so glad I found your video.
Hi there I have same problem on one eye with swelling and it's been 1 week. I did this massage and the swelling has seem to gone down but my eye looks abit hollow and dark under where the swelling was. Did this happen with you?
@ashi8731 yes, I have one eye that looks ok and the other looks hollow which is why I even did the tear trough. The person I went to had no experience. I probably would never do it again.
We had a pt that needed tear trough filler and cheek support. She had a very low grade need for cheek support and wanted to just have tear trough filler ( budget/ priority choice). Restylane 0.5 each side was adm with a cannula. She previous to the procedure had no noticeable malar bag. However after her malar bag became pronounced and heavy. We used hyaluronidase and massaged. She continued to have the noticeable malar bag. I then went and provided cheek support (supraperiosteal). She continued to have the the malar bag heaviness. Everything improved it slightly. But it was still visible, pt and practitioner frustrated. The tear trough filler was performed by a less experienced injector , however corrections by long term experienced injector. Thoughts?
Great idea and one I have used as a variation for treatment of periorbital edema post filler complications. I have had patients referred to me for treatment of complications after having had their tear troughs injected. Lymphatic drainage is very helpful along with a pressure dressing to the lower lids when the patient is to be supine (sleeping) to lessen the postural edema. Hydrafacial's lymphatic drainage handpiece has been a very helpful tool (adjust the suction setting to avoid being too rough). Massaging down into the lymph nodes in the preauricular area, mastoid, and down the neck into the lymph nodes in the clavicle area will help, too. Thank you for your helpful video - I will surely send people to view your presentation!!!!
