    Thanks for the repetition, it takes more than just two or three weaves for most of us to catch on.

    I made this pattern using micro paracord and it turned out amazing! It’s perfect for my sisters dachshund! I used the retainer strap you showed in another video. Thank you so much!

    Hello from Antigua! I'm fairly new to paracord dog collar making and I just love your collars and your tutorials are excellent! I'm trying to make these adjustable collars for our local dog rescues and my fosters. Thank you so very much for your efforts and putting it out there for us!

    Hi I recently made one of these as my first attempt at paracord and your video made it so easy! It came out great except it doesn't slide easily through my Buckle! Do you have any suggest to either make it less bulky where it connects to the Buckle? Or even a pattern I can use to make the other end just a tad smaller!

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi Tai, Maybe you need a slightly bigger buckle?

  • @sarahdunlap3626
    @sarahdunlap3626 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this pattern! I made one, but didn't use a curved buckle. So it looks a little thicker at the buckle. I am going to buy some from your link you posted. Could you also tell where you got your D-rings?

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi sarah yes it is a lovely collar. I got my D rings from an ebay seller in euroa. there is a link on my website www.peacedonkeys.com on the dog collars page. I used the 4mm thick ones. Have fun!

    Does it have to be that modified weave because I can't even do a fish tail and I don't have enough paracord to do that and don't have the money to get any more paracord

    Why does the buckle go on the jig upside down

  • @brycen3093
    @brycen3093 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a quick question. is that micro cord or 95 cord? Micro cord usually doesn't have a single strand inside the sheath. I just want to make sure what it is before trying this.

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi bryce, i used 2mm micro cord with the single strand, but i don't think it would really matter. How did you go with your buckle on your other collar?

      g'day dean, that is a 1 inch wide roller buckle. if you click 'show more' underneath the video you will see some links. but here is for the 1 inch buckle. all the best: amzn.to/2AFUsXF

    @jasmijnroekaerts4132 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very Nice! One question about the size: it's a 20 inch collar in total, so the size of the dogs neck is less because you have a part of the collar that's overlapping..? How much extra inches do you count for this extra part? Thanks a lot and keep up the amazing work you're doing!

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi jasmijn, my dog has a 16 inch neck, and a collar this thick fits her with a couple of inches over to go through the buckle. With these collars, it's better to make slightly bigger than slightly smaller as they are thick. But because it is fully adjustable you can tighten up as much as needed if you make it a little bit too big. All the best.

    • @jasmijnroekaerts4132
      @jasmijnroekaerts4132 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peace donkeys Okay thanks! You also make this type of collars for very small dogs like f.e. 9 inch? Or do you use other 'buckles' for small collars? Thank you so much! :)

      How many feet of paracord would you use for a 14 in collar or do I need to go bigger then 14in?(my dogs neck size is 11in)

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi jasmin, i think for a very small dog you would need a smaller collar maybe like this one: th-cam.com/video/y15E7Q4Ippg/w-d-xo.html that also has a smaller buckle. or even something like a bracelet style like this but turn it into a collar th-cam.com/video/mqXOj8xTBAo/w-d-xo.html lots of choices!!!

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi there ottb luv, i'm the worst person to ask mathematical advice from, but maybe use 3/4 of the cordage amount, since 14 inches is roughly around 3/4 of 20 inches. maybe ask some kid who's good at maths!!! all the best!

      Hi Therese, the buckles are 1 inch (inside) i got mine from Australia. If you click "show more" underneath the video, i have some links to my website which has all the links, and there is also a link to where you can get similar buckles on amazon. hope that helps. roller buckle link here: amzn.to/2FTDZNg

      hi Arron, yes, you could potentially make it into a brow band, it would be quite heavy though.

    Does anyone know how to work it out to adjust for different sizes of collar? I.e how much cord per inch of collar. Iv tried but ain't getting anything that makes sense lol. Xxx

    • @Peacedonkeys
      @Peacedonkeys  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi katie, the measurements i gave in the video are for a 20 inch collar. 5 inches is a quarter of 20 inches. if you divide all the cord amounts by 4 that will tell you how much you need for every 5 inches. so for every five inches bigger or smaller, than 20 inches, you would add or minus that amount. and obviously slightly more or less for under or over 5 inches.

    • @katie28th
      @katie28th 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou I think I was making it overly complicated cause I was trying to work it out for every inch

      this video looks fine when i watch it on youtube, not blurry, other than occasionally when i'mm moving quickly, but the actual centre cords look crystal clear from my computer i wonder if you need to adjust your youtube settings. the bottom right of the video has a little cog you can increase the quality of the playback. cheers.
