I m 43 mow,I grew up in the 80s with great music like this,,Its good 2 see people like you of 2 days generation appreciate music with a true, love, and positive meaning ,The 1980s had the best music!
I thought and still think of my husband. I have had a crush on him since I was 12 and we just celebrated our 24th anniversary the 3rd of this month. He's a Soldier currently on his 4th deployment to Afghanistan. Thank you for always recognizing your fellow SMs and their families
Yes, I’m older 😜 lol. This was a classic I loved in our early years of being married! (Still married :) still love the song! We have four beautiful grown children, and when the line “when I see you smile” plays, I now also think about them.❤️ Loved your reaction - as always!
Imagine growing up in this generation of music, with so much POSITIVE music about love. My wife and I were married for 4 years when this song came out. These kinds of songs make you realize how much the person you are with means to you. As I type this, it is our anniversary, and we've been married for 38 years now. Most of the music I listen to (99%) is from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I was a teenager in the late 70's and early 80's. What an incredible time to be a teenager. The music was a big part of that.
Well the song came out in '89, I was 6 lol But I've loved this song my entire life. Half of my early music education came from hair metal, with plenty of country and gospel mixed in.
Had to love those metal power ballads! Those were totally for us ladies! 😂 I suggest Poison “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”, Motley Crüe “Without You”, Cinderella “Dont Know What You’ve Got Til It’s Gone” and Guns N Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine”
I remember when the song came out. I never thought of a romantic relationship when I heard it....I was going through a very dark time and between my BFF and my newborn niece, they held me up while I climbed out the pit that depression can throw you in. Still now, I see either one give me a smile and I know, I know that no matter what comes my way I'm going to make it.
Bad English was an American/English hard rock supergroup formed in 1987. It reunited Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain with singer John Waite and bassist Ricky Phillips from the The Babys, along with Journey guitarist Neal Schon and drummer Deen Castronovo.
I’m almost 38 and this song was popular when I was about 8, they are a super group the singer is John Waite, who also did the song missing you, the lead guitarist, drummer and keyboard player are from journey and the bassist is from the baby’s, a group the singer and the keyboardist from journey were also in. They were actually my first concert, my mom took me to a bad English, giant and whitesnake concert and it was awesome. I still have the bad English bandana my mom bought me.
My husband and children. Yes we are still together. Children are grown and we have 2 beautiful granddaughters. They all make me smile. I agree with you. Bring back great music.
Me when the first notes hit: God, I love this song. Billy when the first notes hit: I already know I’m going to like this song. Me nodding: this is why I love your channel lol ❤️
I have a different take on this song. I realize it's a love song to a girl. Picture this - I'm waking up in the hospital room the morning after my wife gave birth and my newborn son woke up while I was listening to this song. I picked him up and my heart melted and this song was forever bonded to that moment. My wife woke up to see me crying and had no idea the moment I just had with my newborn, where the term baby was taken literally. I can never hear this song without tears of happiness.
I was in middle school. Ordered this tape through Columbia House tape club, lol. I'm sure there was some 6th or 7th grade boy I liked, but I always think about singing and playing air guitar with my best friends. Glad you like it Billy
Bad English is a hybrid band with members of Journey (Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Deen Castronovo) and The Babys (John Waite and Ricky Phillips). They play some great music.
check out their video the price of love, Heaven is a 4 letter word, best of what i got! The lead guitar player and keyboard player are members of the group Journey!
Great reaction review....new subscriber. I was 8 years old when this song came out... When I got older had kids and over the years, i sang this song to them. My six year old knows this song 💖 true, it's a great love ballad. Although if you listen to the lyrics it can be love towards family. I run the risk of sounding corny but it's so true Being a mother your children's love and smiles can carry you through tough times❤️
Met "that girl" on a wednesday evening in 1986 [14 Feb]. I proposed to her after 4 hours of conversation. We've never been apart since. Im old and sick now, but holding on hard to outlast her because she says going on without me would be too much for her. I'll fight on. I owe her that. Try... The Hollies The Air That I Breath 1974 Stereo
I feel sorry for the people who didn’t grow up with these songs to listen too. 80’s Music was amazing!!! It was special and different and had a sound all it’s own!!!

My wife and I were newlyweds when this came out. Still married today, 32 years later.😍
May i suggest a decade a week? I think that would be fun, 50's , 60's and so on, I think you would have fun with that Billy 😁❤🙏
He could do 10 weeks with the 20th century doing a decade a week starting with the 1900s
The amazing genre of 80’s power ballads! Need more of these reactions, for sure. 😍😍😍
I forgot how good this song is! Thanks BYSC
