I try to make, at least, 1 person a day smile. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated and most importantly, I try to leave everyone I meet better off than when I met them.
I just lost my father 2 weeks ago, so that second verse hit me hard. I am fortunate enough that literally the last words I said to my father were "Okay Dad, I'll see you soon. I love you." Im in Virginia and a friend took a vet from the street, bought him a meal, gave him $30 cash and got a motel room for him. The place called the police and asked them to remove him bc the room wasnt in his name and she wasnt staying there. The policeman made the hotel guy give her money back, he chipped in, got the Vets ID and got 2 nights in a room for him and the officer gave him another $20. There are people out there that still look out for them. The hotel had no choice but to let him stay bc the room was in his name. God Bless her and the officer.
I agree man! More needs to be done for our vets! My sweet nephew went to Afghanistan three times at 19 years old! He is just now getting his life back together and people are so eager to judge. But you know... that’s a lot on a young boy to handle!! And the help you need really is not available when you need it.... thanks for the reaction
Wow. I've never heard this one before and I'm sobbing like a baby right now. The Columbine massacre happened when I was in high school and I remember that day every teacher had the news on in their classroom and we didn't do any school work. I remember when the news first talked about the girl who refused to deny Jesus and died for it I was so proud of her and so sorry that she'd been forced to make that choice. I've only felt the horror that I felt watching that news coverage one other time. That was the day a few months after graduation that my brother woke me up telling me that a plane had hit the world trade center and others were unaccounted for.
First time watching your channel and your reaction. As a 35 year Army veteran, hit 5 times while over seas and many other discomforts, I would do it again for everyone like you.

Ur comment here bout the homeless is exactly y me and my younguns keep water n our vehicles and if we c a homeless person they got what we got or we turn around and go find a meal of whatever's closest. If more ppl would do this I ain't saying it's everything but doggone its a freaking START and whether we think it's a tiny jesture trust me its the light most these ppls eyes. I've been doin this 26 years now and never once have I not got that person's name and specifically prayed 4 them n my prayer. I am a mother of a vet he came home injured and surgery didn't fix it completely and I am thankful everyday that he came home at all. I am thankful to all that have served and the ones that are still serving. My boyfriend sees this old school buying all the time and said if he could buy that building he would make into a place for vets to live while transitioning back home that don't have a place to live.
For those of us who can't get those random calls from our parents anymore, don't just brush them off. Because after they're gone all you think about is all the times you didn't answer
My grandpa and dad and step dad and husband and two of my sons have served and are serving . Your reactions are real and you understand. As a mom it’s hard. My oldest is Army and my middle son is Infantry and as a marine. That one scares me the most... it’s hard😢

Homeless Vets and hungry kids get me every time. There should be none of that. I’m a Army veterans wife living near an Army and Air Force base so I see it everyday. Homelessness in Washington state keeps going up and it’s so sad to see. I really think something should be done for job training, counseling, and job searching before they get out so that the vets have a plan. The closet elementary school near serves lunches during the summer so that kids have a chance to get lunch. I wish more schools were able to do this.
