I liked how when you had the option, you put your buddy through the worst of it and avoiding the pot holes on your side.🤣 I almost died laughing with the "maybe Casey was right " 🤣🤣🤣
Its conditions like that, if that duramax had a set or preferably two sets of tire chains, it would have made it out of there on its own or I am willing to bet it would have. The side profile of both vehicles in one shot in the video certainly showed the drastic difference in clearance and ability.
Wow! for the scenery. Many stars for the calmness of that recovery with the driver keeping the wheel spinning under control. That must have been his most welcome sandwich ever.
See how fast he started walking when you mentioned the sandwich, and then how quickly he was thrilled to send you on a mission to check out the end of the road.....life is all about the sandwich brother😂🥰😎
Didn't realize you guys were locals in B.C , just started watching your channel, was vacationing up by Shuswap and Canoe Beach last summer. Beautiful area ! Great video !
Hey man, I really dig your videos. I discovered your channel after watching Casey's video where he called you out and your video where you did the solo recovery happened to come up in my feed . I'm hoping he was just joking. The scenery in this video reminds me of back home in the White Mtns. of northern New Hampshire were I was born and lived for the first 45 years of my life until moving to Western New York almost 15 yrs ago. These roads totally remind me of cruising the old logging roads. Keep the cool content coming and I'll keep watching. Peace!
You could certainly benefit from a central air pressure system like on a Humvee. Then you could just sit in the cab and air down or up as needed. Some beautiful scenery up there.
Beautiful country to get stuck in. I had to recover a buddy of mine who burried himeself in 2 feet of snow in his 1500. Everytime he tried moving he floored it and had snow flying everywhere. I threw all 4 chains on my Duramax, creaped down to him, hooked up amd let the Duramax crawl him out as he constantly had his wheels spinning. 🤣🤣 I told him that he needed to learn how to treat the snow a little nicer but he's just one of those people. Nice work... That view makes me want to get a passport and start looking for cheap airfares... That turned out well New road, nice view, good help, found & fed the rescuee😎☕ C.L. was right. ⚡🔥😂😂😂 Oh yeah, you may have been asked hundreds of times before. What portable air are you using?
@@BruceCookfmx There are so many portable air compressors that claim , "150 PSI" or " 180 PSI". I figured out they were actually stating truth....150psi/ 180psi, is the total combined PSI they produce over the lifespan of the compressor😁☕
I’ve been into off-roading since I could drive and have always liked helping people. Having more capable vehicles than most, doing something I enjoy, helping people out of bad situations 👍🏻
In the video was just Apple Maps and Gaia for elevation. I usually just use satellite view in Apple or Google maps to find trails around here. In this instance he had service and just shared his location.
@@richardraleigh6490 I always claim 10 psi is safe IN SNOW for most rigs. This assumes you don't have the low profile tires (50, 40, or even 30 profile) that can be found on some SUVs these days. But the snow in this video might a little shallow for this pressure as you could hit a rock and pinch the tire against the rim. Personally my go-to pressure is 5 psi -- without beadlocks -- but I have a light rig with 35 inch tires which are way above the stock tire size. Sometimes I even run as low as 3 psi. If you run 10 psi with a stock tire size, you also need to keep your speed low -- I suggest under 25 mph (40 kph) until you air the tires back up. If you run at highway speeds at 10 psi (and stock tire sizes) you will likely destroy all 4 tires. In deep snow, I have also found that dropping the pressure to 30 psi, or even 20 psi, usually doesn't help very much over 50 psi (but it depends on the ever variable snow conditions). Above 20 psi or so, the pressure in the tire is way more than what the snow can support. That is, the snow deflects before the tire does. Thus, the tire stays basically round and makes a round dent in the snow. Pressures down in the 5 to 10 psi range approach the pressure that compacted snow can support.* Thus, the dent produced by the tire in the snow is shallower, causing less resistance to the vehicle moving forward. * Note: This applies to the dense snow that we tend to get on the West Coast (Washington State, Cascade Mountains). In areas that get dry powdery snow, my recommendations probably don't apply.
You shoulda got a few sandwiches so you could have stopped and enjoyed a meal and the view after the recovery....lol It's 1pm here in Albany, OR & I'm making a ham sandwich😋😎
