EarthCoreStudios That's a brilliant idea. Imagine all the hacking of phlegm and boogers :d That would be hilarious (and deliciously disgusting) to hear xD
Men never understand Brave...I think you had to have been a teenage girl at somepoint to understand why that movie is so good. They nailed the mother daughter relationship.
Denroy Lawrence Its not really about empathy, its about genuine experiences. Im not even attempting to insult/criticize men. Without the emotional connection the move brings out for people who have had similar experiences it is legitimately all over the place and most of the critiques still stand. i get why most men dont like it. But again for those of us who have been a teenage girl at some point it tends to hit close to the heart. I'm sure it brings up similar feelings for mothers of teenage girls but i dont know any who have seen the movie so i cant be sure.
Who cares. Brave sucks as a film. Merida is generic, the plot is ripped off of Brother Bear, the jokes are unfunny, it's rushed, and the other characters are one dimensional.
TheAnimatorOfficial I dont disagree with you but i stand by my statement. There arent many movies that nail the mother daughter dynamic as well as Brave. For me, and many others, that more than makes up for the movies shortcomings.
Michelle Meimei brave for the win I watched it about just 20 TIMES and christine I know how you feel about the boys I had to grow up with two teenagers
I might get hate but I like Ratatouille. Alot. I found myself watching that more than the other Pixar movies. I like watching people cook lol I'm a weirdo.
hahaha what a contradiction! However I couldn't agree more that your top 3 has great movies! Toy Story 3 it is certanly on my top 3, just as you said those last scenes are the best, specially the last last scene hahaha
Wait but the thing about Pixar movies is that 1. They showed how toys have feelings 2. Bugs have feelings 3. Monsters have feelings 4. Fish have feelings 5. Superheroes have feelings 6. Rats have feelings 7. Robots have feelings 8. Dogs have feelings And that... FEELINGS HAVE FEELINGS.
I completely understand what Christine's saying with Brave. I watched it in theaters when it came out and I had rivers flowing down my face about 40% of the movie because I related so much to the mother/daughter struggle.
alinya45 YES!!! TOTES!!! Esp that last scene when her hair is flowing free while she's riding wild... she has every right to be her even if it's not what's expected!
i personally loved brave because it shows us how granted we take our parents sometimes and how they won't always be here, and how we need to step up and really become the adult; the type person our parents want us to be or will be proud to see us be. a bit deep but i totally get why christine loves it :)
I'm new to Wong Fu and I'm in love with Lunch Break! There's sooo many episodes of it, can't believe I found the very first ep! Soooo happy! Hahahahaa:)
Top 3 pixar movie: 1) Toy Story 3 2) Up 3) Finding Nemo But I haven't seen Inside out yet and I'm feeling that I'm going to copy Phil on this and that it will replace finding nemo in my chart.
I didn't even have to watch an episode yet to know I'd love this series. The Wong Fu crew sitting around talking about their thoughts and ideas? I can't wait to catch up!
Don't worry Christine, Brave is in my top 3 too!! I like the whole Celtic/fantasy element. And also because it reminds me of my relationship with my mom too.
Whaaat. Brave was so heart warming. It shows how meredith wanted to be seen as independent but she wouldnt be scared to let others know her feelings. Her adventure side related to so many people which is why it makes a great family movie.
Brave is my top 3 as well :P I loved the celtic music in there. It was so culturally perfect. I always liked celtic music, so that movie was the epitome of goosebumps so top 3 for sure. Unpopular opinion: Out of Toy Story 1, 2 and 3, I only liked 1. Toy Story 2 and 3 are like top 50, or even top 100.
Brave is my favorite because I love how Merida wakes up, its not like how princesses look so freaking beautiful and untangled hair. Also this movie shows how to show bravery and love your mother even though she annoys you, but this is my opinion. :)
I must say up is definitely in my top 2 because of the great storyline, the Eli and Carl story, the adventure, and the relation between Carl, Russell, and dug. The other has to be big hero 6 due to the brotherly love aspect, great character designs, the soundtrack, and the concept art. Man, I love Pixar's endless creativity!
BRAVE IS AWESOME! Honestly i think that all Pixar movies are equal, whereas Disney has ups and downs... Also, the Pixar movies depend on the nostalgia and the persons preferences.
I am 2 years late, but Brave is one of my favorite animated movie of all times. I love the art and sound track (especially Touch the Sky and Maiden Fair) and the emotions placed behind each character. I think the story definitely has many flaws, but it was humorous, thrilling, and packs a punch of heartfelt emotions that wrap the story up perfectly! I remember crying when Merida watches her mom fish in the lake, when they lullaby plays in the background, and when she hold her mother and cried. The story was beautiful and the animation and music made it all the more amazing.
BRAVE IS IN MY TOP3!!!!!!!!! I relate to Merida because of her adventurous spirit and how she goes against her society's expectations and builds her own way without the NEED of a guy by her side. Love heeeer!
Brave is definitely in my top three! I feel like it has been the only Disney-ish movie so far where some prince didn't have to come to save the day. Also Merida is independent and fierce af.
Brave made me and my mom cried while watching it. I still have issues but Brave made me appreciate my family more. Brave is definitely in my top 3. Merida is my favorite Disney princess and she's on my name tag for work!
"i don't think anyone... has the same top three as Christine." one nice thing about poor memory is being able to come back to old videos and being able to experience them like they're new again. laughed out loud 10 months ago, and laughed out loud today. this is definitely in my top 3 favorite lunch break eps.
It's okay, Christine, I love Brave!! I have great relationship with my mom but I love the way that Brave gave Merida so much power and showed her as a strong female character without negating that by her needing a prince, focusing on her troubled relationship with her parents and the expectations held of her, as well as the whole mystical Scottish fairy tale side of it. I think Brave had a lot of aspects that aren't in many other movies and people don't give it enough credit
Not mine but it should show up on anything with the mention of pixar (it'll also help you remember the pixar movies). PIXAR, 1995: What if toys had feelings PIXAR, 1998: What if bugs had feelings PIXAR, 2001: What if monsters had feelings PIXAR, 2003: What if fish had feelings (why was that in no one's top three...) PIXAR, 2004: What if superheroes had feelings PIXAR, 2006: What if cars had feelings PIXAR, 2007: What if rats had feelings PIXAR, 2008: What if robots had feelings PIXAR, 2009: What if dogs had feelings PIXAR, 2012: What if Scotland had feelings PIXAR, 2015: WHAT IF FEELINGS HAD FEELINGS
1) Wall-e 2) Up 3) Brave LMAO Phil's no comment face!!! And yes when he sacrificed himself I totally cried!! I knew it was coming, which i think made it worse.
OMG i totally understand your love for Brave, Christine! I cried so hard in the end...lol When i told ppl that i was so touched by the ending, they are all like WHAAAAAT?! Yep only girls who have mom "issues" will understand. :) Brave actually changed me a lot. It is still hard sometimes but we are having a better mom-daughter relationship now :) But to be fair, Brave has the simplest story of all pixar movies. I do understand ppl who were disappointed at it. My top 3 is: Inside Out, Toy Story 3, Wall-E. Brave is def in my top 5. lol
I'll rate all the Pixar movies from best to worst in my humble opinion: Up - 9.5/10 Wall-E - 9.3/10 Ratatouille - 9.10 Toy Story 3 - 8.8/10 Incredibles - 8.7/10 Toy Story - 8.5/10 Inside Out - 8.3/10 Finding Nemo - 8.1/10 Toy Story 2 - 8/10 Monsters Inc - 7.5/10 Monsters University - 7.4/10 Cars - 7.3/10 A Bug's Life - 7/10 Brave - 5.8/10 Cars 2 - 4.5/10
+Liam Fay I'm so late to the party (been binge watching Fungbros, WongFu and Domics past week...) and I think my fave would be Wall-E or Up too if it werent for my 3 year old that watches these shows on repeat... His fave by far are Up (the Man), Wall-E (Warwee) and The Incredibles (Mista Imcreboos). He doesnt care for any other Pixar movies to my dismay. I can quote those movies word for word no kidding.
My top 3 Pixar movies: 1) Brave!!! Going off what Christina said, it also is one of the only Disney princess movie that tackles the idea of being an independent woman, so I related to it a lot. 2) Monsters Inc. is a childhood favorite. The fact that we are not only afraid of the monsters but the monsters are also afraid of us, had me really liking this movie. 3) The Incredibles because of how normal the family dynamics are in a not so normal family (plus Edna).
X No Name YES YES YES! Fighting for the right to be you, exactly at you are. But having compassion to those who may not agree with your choices but are coming from a place of love
I was bawling at that bingbong scene!! I think my top three would be up, inside out, finding nemo oh but all of them are so good I can't choose just three!
Definitely Brave! It's amazing to see the amount of detail Pixar/Disney puts into their movies. In order to not misrepresent real clans from Scotland, the tartans (clan-specific plaid patterns) were created by Pixar and registered as an actual tartan! Plus the music, the story, the accents. Beautiful! I'm a little bias (I'm of Scottish descent) but I love the movies where Pixar/Disney puts forth effort to make it as accurate as possible.
I really love this series! I really enjoy videos of conversations about different topics because you get to hear others perspectives of the topic. I hope you continue this show cause I think it's very enjoyable. Suggestions for future videos, marvel movies, Disney movies, dream works, Harry Potter, anime, TV series, and 90s cartoons or cartoons in general. As for my top 3 Pixar movies: 1. The Incredibles 2. Brave 3. Toy Story 3
SO UNDERSTAND YOU CHRISTINE! these guys are all haters! 1) Up 2) Ratatouille 3) Brave also i loved that Brave was a princess movie that didn't end in a princess getting married; like the whole big issue was that she didn't want to get married and live her own life! you go girl! Toy story3 actually isn't in my top 3 because while i cried a lot at it TS3 was made to pull at people's nostalgia who grew up. I would say looking at the story only it was about as good as most of the other pixar movies. And yeah Ratatouille is up there because I love food and cooking. So inspirational!
1. Inside Out It really captured an adolescent's mind set and was humorous and lovable. 2. Up Made me cry in the first 20 minutes 3. Brave was a really relatable movie since I too struggle to really meet my mom on that middle ground.
Isabel Zheng Hahaha insert appropriate bear emoiji :D Brave touches a lot of experiences and personal relationships that really spoke to me. Brave fans 4 life!
Many, I feel, are unable to be empathic. 1.She is the first princess that not a damsel in distress. 2. She can fend for herself. 3. She defy society's norm 4. She is intellectual and independent 5. SHE LOVES WHO SHE IS. The crux. Society is not use to seeing a female protagonist, that can out wit mentally and physically a man. As a man, I have to say this is a movie young girls and women should.
1. Monsters Inc. 2. Inside Out 3. Up Brave isn't in my top 3, but it's a pretty good movie. Or at least the morals behind it are. But I guess you've got to understand to like it.
I liked a lot of Pixar movies so top 3 is kind of hard, but don't worry, Christine! I loved Brave, as well :D The music was awesome and the brother cubs were too freaken adorable.
After watching Inside Out yesterday, I kinda agree that its the best Pixar movie so far, because it triggered quite some reflection on my inner self. Sometimes it's ok to be sad, because you can't force yourself to be happy all the time. I like how it confers the messages of 'after the rain comes the sun' or something like don't let your anger control your mind or even about family values, not forgetting about having the 'fun' emotions and value of 'honesty'.
CHRISTINE!!!! You are great. Brave is one of my secret loves bc it is just so empowering to girls, and it is just like my relationship with my mom too. I thank you for being someone to announce your love to the world! 1) Up! 2) Brave 3) Inside Out
Pekkle520 Hahaha Brave does such a great job of capturing that true frustration of misunderstandings and assumptions between daughter and mother and what really matters deep down. Just wanting the true happiness for each other..
+peachiechristine Thanks for your reply and recommendation I have a son now and i still have issues with my mom I hope i can b a better mom to my son than my mom was to me
high-five phil! i have the same top 3, in a different order, but still the same top 3! 1) inside out - the concept is very different than what pixar has done in the past (i think my control room is run by disgust xD) 2) up - the story was very touching (was bawling in the first 10 minutes...), had humour and a great plot 3) toy story 3 - very relatable. we pretty much grew up with andy! and yes, that last last scene? no words...
Love this lunch break thing you guys are doing!!! My top 3: Up, Toy Story 3, Wall-E. Inside Out may be somewhere in top 6. Although I enjoyed the story, the characters weren't as aesthetically pleasing to me. I found Bingbong to be kind of creepy looking T_T
I haven't made up my mind on my Top 3 but in Christine's defense, I balled my heart out over Brave and made me think so much about the sacrifices of my mom and how I had a phase of not appreciating her. So Brave is one of the best movies I've ever watched! probably even outranking the other Disney Princesses.
I absolutely LOVED brave for me it really connected with in an emotional level because it was the first movie with a princess who didn't fall head over heels with a prince and she actually wanted to be independent but then her mom wants her to be this ideal stereotypical "Perfect" princess and wanted to change her but then that scene when she realized that they were both being selfish and kinda forgave each other and she turned into a human again made me tear up :.)
You know, at the beginning I was thinking about my top 3 and then they started talking and I was like "oh yeah, I loved that one", "oh yeah that one was fantastic", "that one made me cry for days"...so pixar just makes me feel all the emotions.
ok whats the music at like 6:30 like that slow piano. i like it..but idek it..or where its from..btw im not much of a Pixar person. im more of Disney and Dreamworks..so imma put it out there i like Pirates of the Caribbean..the first was the best but they were all good.. 😁😁 JD for life
Has no one seen Big Hero 6?!?! That's by far my number one on my list! Nothing had made me feel so emotional as that one! I haven't seen Inside Out yet, but I'm sure I'll love it (:
HOLY CHROMOLY!!!! BRAVE IS ONE OF THE BEST PIXAR MOVIES IVE EVER SEEN!!!!! DW CHRISTINE, THEY ARE JUST MESSING WITH YOU, BRAVE IS A REALLY GOOD MOVIE AND PLUS IT REALLY HELPED ME WITH MY MUM AND I, BUT I ONE DAY, I PROBABLY WANNA SEE A WISP!!!!!!!!!
1. Wall-E 2. A Bug's Life has a special place in my heart as the first Pixar movie of my childhood :) (I still remember the short with the old man playing chess) 3. Inside Out
After seeing this, I think Wong Fu would make the PERFECT podcasts. Anyone else?
yessss please do podcasts!
EarthCoreStudios this is such a perfect idea!!
EarthCoreStudios That's a brilliant idea. Imagine all the hacking of phlegm and boogers :d That would be hilarious (and deliciously disgusting) to hear xD
EarthCoreStudios Yayyyy! *Christine style
Men never understand Brave...I think you had to have been a teenage girl at somepoint to understand why that movie is so good. They nailed the mother daughter relationship.
With empathy, us men, can comprehend the Brave.
Denroy Lawrence

I'm a man and I totally get it. I completely empathized because my mother can be like that and, man or woman, the struggle can still be the same.
yess Christine!
brave is my favourite Pixar movie for sure
1) brave
2) wall-E
3) toy story
Michelle Meimei You and I have lots to chat about regarding Brave!! Keep following those wisps!
first of all thanks so much for replying means so much :3 and also yes I love brave so much ! I think I've watched it WAYY too many times now 😂❤️
Michelle Meimei brave for the win I watched it about just 20 TIMES and christine I know how you feel about the boys I had to grow up with two teenagers
I've only seen Brave once, in theaters
I replayed the "I'm a beautiful butterfly!" part so many times! XD
Yay. I'm not alone.
I guess you could say Christine was pretty BRAVE for putting Brave in her top 3.
Reezy I guess you can say that hahaha
Reezy yah go Christine! be the voice of all women who related soooo much with Brave
I might get hate but I like Ratatouille. Alot. I found myself watching that more than the other Pixar movies. I like watching people cook lol I'm a weirdo.
No one gave you hate :)
really? That's what usually happen when I see someone comment and they get bash because of a opinion
annagong963 omg I love ratatouille too!
yay high fiveeeeee~
YES! SOMEONE WHO LIKES RATATOUILLE!! I also enjoy watching people cook, lol
Sadness makes me happy.. ??
It's ok to be sad because without sadness you won't know/appreciate joy.... 😉😄
pwangs "I like old things. They make me sad.""What's good about being sad?""It's happy for deep people."
hahaha what a contradiction! However I couldn't agree more that your top 3 has great movies! Toy Story 3 it is certanly on my top 3, just as you said those last scenes are the best, specially the last last scene hahaha
your top 3 is the same as mine 😢#soultwins
+pwangs Me too, bro. Me too. Loves me a sad movie.
Wait but the thing about Pixar movies is that
1. They showed how toys have feelings
2. Bugs have feelings
3. Monsters have feelings
4. Fish have feelings
5. Superheroes have feelings
6. Rats have feelings
7. Robots have feelings
8. Dogs have feelings
And that...

I cried when bing bong sacrificed himself :'(
Sparkulight Spoiler alert -_-

What about big hero 6???
Chantelle Faith I was thinking the same thing! but apparently Big Hero 6 isn't Pixar. It's just Disney, just like frozen, Wreck It Ralph, and Tangled.
Chantelle Faith Yeah, BH6 is just a regular Disney movie. Still awesome though, haha
ahhh I never knew!!! crazyy because disney's pixar movies are usually my favourite!
Chantelle Faith If you want to see a real big hero 6, come into my bedroom ( ͡°╭͜ʖ╮͡° )
Chantelle Faith
Well okay thx for the consideration. Offer is always on the table.

And I'm just sitting here, waiting for someone to say Cars (the first one of course).
Yesssss!!!! I've been looking for someone in the comments for that!!! I LOVED that movie a lot! It was so much fun. I'd never get tired of that movie
I think Cars was better than The Incredibles.
Definitely Brave! It's amazing to see the amount of detail Pixar/Disney puts into their movies. Suggestions for future videos, marvel movies, Disney movies, dream works, Harry Potter, anime, TV series, and 90s cartoons or cartoons in general. As for my top 3 Pixar movies:
1. The Incredibles
2. Brave
3. Toy Story 3
SO UNDERSTAND YOU CHRISTINE! these guys are all haters!
1) Up
2) Ratatouille
3) Brave
also i loved that Brave was a princess movie that didn't end in a princess getting married; like the whole big issue was that she didn't want to get married and live her own life! you go girl!
Rissa YES YES YES!! LOVE YOURSELF FIRST! #yougogirl
1. Inside Out
It really captured an adolescent's mind set and was humorous and lovable.
2. Up
Made me cry in the first 20 minutes
3. Brave
was a really relatable movie since I too struggle to really meet my mom on that middle ground.
How could they not like Brave?? T^T Brave is amazing 🐻
3. She defy society's norm
4. She is intellectual and independent
5. SHE LOVES WHO SHE IS.
The crux. Society is not use to seeing a female protagonist, that can out wit mentally and physically a man. As a man, I have to say this is a movie young girls and women should.
Denroy Lawrence what about Mulan? and others that I can't think of rn
Jenny Yao
I love Mulan! Asian Disney princess!
Jenny Yao you are absolutely right. I forgot about Milan.
Please make more of these! I LOVED IT AND IT WAS HILARIOUS!

Amanda Hahaha it's ok! It's worth watching once
peachiechristine Only once though
jk!
Taylor's reaction to Christine's top 3 makes me laugh every time. 😂
What about Big Hero 6?!?!
redethan5 Not made by Pixar
that wasn't made by Pixar
***** technically a Disney movie, but Pixar staff does all the animation for Disney
I LOVE Brave! I think it's one of the Pixar movies that made me realize how much I should be appreciating my mom..
Charlene Cheong appreciating moms, loving yourself, freedom to chase your dreams, fighting for the things that matter to you... so many good points

1. Monsters Inc.
2. Inside Out
3. Up
Brave isn't in my top 3, but it's a pretty good movie. Or at least the morals behind it are. But I guess you've got to understand to like it.
pete docter is life, pete docter is love
I liked a lot of Pixar movies so top 3 is kind of hard, but don't worry, Christine! I loved Brave, as well :D The music was awesome and the brother cubs were too freaken adorable.
Shineeey ikr! Thanks girl
.....does anyone like cars?
JoeTalks I do!
My sister really likes it.......... And Ariel
1.nemo!!!
2.up
3.monsters inc.
Miz Uzumaki woah we have the same top 3 c:
CHRISTINE!!!! You are great. Brave is one of my secret loves bc it is just so empowering to girls, and it is just like my relationship with my mom too. I thank you for being someone to announce your love to the world!
1) Up!
2) Brave
3) Inside Out
1. Ratatouille
2. Wall-e
3. Frozen
Forsaken Fallen Wasn't Frozen made by disney animation studio?
Yeah I think mainly Disney but idk when but Disney did buy over Pixar didn't they? Correct me if I'm wrong
Pixar has been owned by Disney for maaaaany years now, but Pixar and Disney Animation Studio are still two different animation studios. :)
But I think Pixar staff does a lot of animating for Disney too, so it's a bit of a weird overlapping thing.
I'm loving these Lunch Break videos - Keep em coming!
1. Incredibles
2. Up
3. Ratatouille
That moment when I'm eating alone and watching this video...it's like I'm eating lunch with Wongfu!!!
I have always had issues with my mom
Im going to watch Brave
Pekkle520 Hahaha Brave does such a great job of capturing that true frustration of misunderstandings and assumptions between daughter and mother and what really matters deep down. Just wanting the true happiness for each other..
+peachiechristine
Thanks for your reply and recommendation
I have a son now and i still have issues with my mom
I hope i can b a better mom to my son than my mom was to me
high-five phil! i have the same top 3, in a different order, but still the same top 3!
1) inside out - the concept is very different than what pixar has done in the past (i think my control room is run by disgust xD)
2) up - the story was very touching (was bawling in the first 10 minutes...), had humour and a great plot
3) toy story 3 - very relatable. we pretty much grew up with andy! and yes, that last last scene? no words...
Hey I'm a guy and I love Brave. Did not expect it to be that awesome. Especially the triplets.
I LOVE THIS :D i hope you guys do more lunch break talks
1. Up
2. Inside out
3. Brave because Christine made me love it😂
More please! Really enjoyable to just listen to you guys talk haha. Living out my dream of being friends with you guys >.

I thought Lunch Break idea is genius ! I enjoy each of them a lot.
ok whats the music at like 6:30 like that slow piano. i like it..but idek it..or where its from..btw im not much of a Pixar person. im more of Disney and Dreamworks..so imma put it out there i like Pirates of the Caribbean..the first was the best but they were all good.. 😁😁 JD for life
Dudes, I actually really like Brave. Y'all are crazy! Such a heartfelt, humerus movie. I get you Christine.
