My film teacher sent me this video for us to revise off of whilst the college is closed. Thanks for the video, it was really helpful and please make more on the films in detail!
Hi! How difficult is Film Studies? I really want to do Film Studies, but I am not sure if I’d be able to manage the work effort. My GCSE grades are going to be decent as well, I hope 7 or above. Thanks in advance.
@@adambob3123 i had a lot of fun with it over the 2 years i did it and once you know how to answer the long essay questions it shouldn’t be too tricky. very easy to work with despite covid and as long as you are good at essay writing
@@jenko6196 thanks for your help. I’m probably going to do it because I am quite good at essay writing + I enjoy cinema, so shouldn’t be that difficult
Hello, you are amazing! Are you going to do any more videos at all?? Especially for the new spec, I'm thinking Get Out for American film , or memento for experimental cinema?
Thanks Nomsa. I would definitely recommend you read Pauline Kael's 'Circles and Squares' and 'Raising Kane' - pretty sure both of them will be freely available on the internet - and very good for criticising auteur theory.
I will do a WB video eventually as it is one of the films i teach, but not sure if / when i will get to inception. I have a brilliant resource booklet on 'Winter's Bone' that I can email to you (not made by me I should hasten to add!)
@@MrGardnersFilmStudiesChannel Oh okay! Yes please that would be really helpful, thank you! You can email it to: Aasiya.azeemali@gmail.com Thanks so much :)
Hope your exam went well. SLIH is a great film! I'd recommend watching lots of Billy Wilder movies for it (The Apartment, Sunset Blvd., Double Indemnity)
watching this 3 days before my exam lol
