I love the album version. I would have been ok with a more guitar-centric album but the songwriting is so good that the songs grow on you even in their current form
Love Billy!! Would've definitely been 100% forced to play Today instead of a new song. Damnnit KROQ let the man play his new shit, let it shine, it's so good!!!! Sure, Today is a good song but he literally could've showcased a new song!!
I honestly hadn't heard him speak or perform in many years. I think the most recent thing I had seen from Billy was the podcast he did with Joe Rogan, and that was maybe 5 years ago. It sounds like his voice has gotten quite a bit deeper/scratchier since then. It's not bad or anything, I think he still sounds pretty good for being in guy in his mid 50's who spent most of his life touring and performing for people, but in my opinion his voice is quite a bit different than the early 90's.
Oh wow I always loved his voice - omg, omg, and he's still cool and sounds as good as ever!! I love Crystal Method, dont know if thats their best. But Billy C... my man. 😍🥰🤩

I was a huge Pumpkins fan in the 90's and I've always found Billy to be a pretty interesting guy. I know he's briefly mentioned in past interviews (I think on Joe Rogan and Howard Stern) about how he had some bizarre experiences when he was younger, and how he apparently encountered someone who was a "shape shifter," which I always assumed meant the person was some kind of alien body snatcher or demonic being... I don't know enough about it to really say much else, but I always wanted to hear Billy tell the story in depth for obvious reasons. I thought maybe he was going to mention it when he started talking about the existence of aliens and witnessing what he believed to be a UFO, but I guess not. It seems like he's apprehensive about talking about it publicly, which unfortunately makes me think we'll never get to hear the full story.
They are real. I'm One. We just want to use your soul to power our alien vehicles. Give us your soul. Suffering is the currency of Satan. Satan is king. In hell you constantly taste piss, smell shit and feel like your on fire
He talks more about it on Howard Stern. It was a woman that shape shifted while they were in bed. He says he'll tell the full story when he writes his book. Hopefully, that comes sooner than later.
@@BrokenToysMusic Yeah that’s pretty much all I’ve ever been able to find about it. I’ve always been interested in weird ghost/alien/UFO stories like skinwalker ranch, so hopefully he explains in detail someday.
I recall Billy saying he never really found a way to get an acoustic guitar to sound right live on stage, so will he tour this atum triple album would be a 5 hour performance?
Billy just never wanted to be the "rock star" we wanted him to be. He easily could have. SP could have easily been more successful than nirvana. He chose not to. Mad respect. Im impressed how preserved his voice is. Sounds like 93 corgan
idk y people hear billy's voice as whiny, he has a really powerful voice, in Bullet w Butterfly wings he sounds like Jagger, and his rock scream has the perfect amount of distortion it sounds wicked! You can't just whine your way thru a song and think you sound like this guy, his voice is great.
@@justinkassinger8238 No, because the video is of Billy Corgan. I specifically said he sounds like Jack White "here," meaning in this particular video. I know Billy came first, cmon.
I didn't know the other Norm Macdonald played guitar. Huh. All this mindless entertainment, for endless minds, while some rich families thrive, and some just die out. Ah, what a fun game of old royals, eh?
Billy is a star and a super talented technical musician and an amazingly gifted businessman, however D'arcy was the natural artist...and he let her sing like 1 song...and busted her chops.
ATUM sounds like Billy put a load of 'space rock opera' words into an AI chatbot, sang whatever words were spat out and plunked a load of synths over the top. Nonsense with synths. The joke is on the people that enjoy it.
Oh!!! Love Billy. It was my favorite band of the 90s. I love that magical and mysterious atmosphere that all his music has.
Billy's outfit literally matches the KROQ backdrop to a t
Good eye
"Space Age" with the Siamese Dream distortion would be up there with Mayonaise! 🤩 💜
12:45 what a beautiful song when it’s played on guitar and not drenched in synths.
agreed! WOW
Imagine it drenched in Siamese Dream guitar fuzz… 🤤
I love the album version. I would have been ok with a more guitar-centric album but the songwriting is so good that the songs grow on you even in their current form
@@Luke_Radiosmash I hope this proves true for me
@@thenewholistic Yeah its got a bit of a mayonnaise vibe about it
Space Age. finally, a new song i can myself listening to more than a couple of times before i return to listening to old Pumpkins stuff.
Love Billy!!

A true legend!
The chord changes in Space Age sound great in this version. Great choice to play.
Love Billy ! Amazing rock music genius!
I’m so stoked thanks for letting me see this video
Uno de los más talentosos músicos de la escena del rock de los últimos 30 años. Leyenda viva y que sigue renovándose con cada nuevo trabajo.CRACK!
Still got it!
absolutely beautiful song Today❤❤❤❤
Really need to see Billy Corgan react to random music he's never heard of!
🤣🤣🤣 I know right? haha
Pay me and I'll do it. If you think i won't sue you you're dead wrong
If aliens have always been here why are we still calling them aliens? They're earthlings at this point...
Very nice - thanks for sharing. "Every day is Sunday..." LOL! 🙏
When are the smashing pumpkins going to get anew singer?
18:40 Billy doing his own voice is super funny.
The same and sweet voice since early 90’s! ❤
Defs not the same :(
Not the same at all, lol, what are you telling about

Lovely voice and a great rendition.
Stars should follow
Stars worth sorrow
Where all tomorrows
That bore brunt, borrowed time
Used to run, run blue
I used to run, run abused
Built 'round an orbit I'd presume
But here there is nothing old, old of you (of you)
And sold, sold as shrewd (as shrewd)
They've spent their legends and said youth
Where now is simply then
I don't know, know true
I just know, know of you (I just know)
Set on a latch and pretty-proofed
I hope you find your sun, sun to shine (to shine)
Where all, all that's mine (that's mine)
Is given up for something wise
So then is simply now
Stars should follow
Stars worth sorrow
Where all tomorrows
That bore brunt, borrowed time
Are mine
He performing today ❤❤❤❤
Love that dude.......
ATUM is a great new record. I really don't care to hear the same old tired hits...I enjoy artists who evolve
He had me, with his Song, …..❤️
I wish ❤️

I'm ready for the weekend
wow that was a great version of today
Acoustic Space Age was brilliant!
Space Age is a great song.
Man, who did you have spitting into that mic before Billy... Alien?
Excited for the New Album hope their will be some songs like 1979 and Bullet with Butterfly Wings and today 👍
You’re gonna be very disappointed. I won’t say it’s bad it’s just not for me. But if other like it that’s okay.
@@Datmainman good to know 👍
Nope lol
You already have those songs. Wouldn’t you rather hear something new?
@@Brinta3 with a old spin on it 👍

Is there a CFOX interview?
This concept sounds like david bowie ground control mixed with frank zappas joes garage.

Why is it just Billy promoting the album? Where is everyone else? Lol
It’s a long story, Vampires and shit
somebody get him a guitar stand, come on guys!!!
Wait, his middle name isn't Mayonnaise?

"2030 they're gonna be here?" "Yeah! But here's the crazy thing..." Aye okay Willy.
Thats why we all have to switch to electric cars
THERE IS MAGIC IN THIS NEW ALBUM!!! Just maybe a little less Synth.
Nah its all trash
Man… the new album is horrendous
33 songs!..And with such a story to tell its a shame theres no ^&%^&!ing lyrics in the album!
Billy sounds a lot like Jack White in places here. Not sure I'd typically draw a comparison between the 2.

Billy's hyping up Atum and talking about how great, big and successful it is, yet plays a song from siamese dream lol
It is the 30th anniversary of Siamese Dream and he DID play “Space Age” which is from ATUM
Bashar 🌈

The only place it's actually successful is in his thoughts lol
