@@diverdave2179 Right?! Like, I’ve never seen that Mrs. Buttersworth card before. Which of course means I HAD to have it. And great call on the Feller. Just such a clean nice pic of a great pitcher who often gets overlooked. And his really good teammate Bob Lemon REALLY gets no love.
What a haul as usual! Bob Cerv a Nebraska guy like myself . So many nice Schmidt’s. Sabo Stsrting line up card, I can only imagine how giddy you got inside upon seeing that bad boy. So many no brainers in the nickel box. They might as well just put a sign up reading Free Cards!
@@macwaxxstacks No doubt! I went in expecting to find some junk wax commons, hoping to find some local guys or some fun stuff. Not actual stars. And that quarter box was loaded with stuff just for me.
@@wax_nostalgic Awesome! Thanks for joining in the conversation! If you like Reds stuff then you’re in the right place since I pick up a fair amount of it. And it’s easy to get excited about some fun pickups.
Hey Tim. Do you have a TCDB account for trading cards? If not, you can reach out to me at dimeboxdiscoveries@gmail.com. I could send you a link to my want list to see if you have anything that would make a fun trade for some of those Harpers.
Oooh, you know I don’t think Porter had that LuBob All Star he’d definitely trade for that! We love grid. Porter and I both play our own. Love the Molitor 1984 Topps! 1988 Box Bottom is a score! 3 for a $1 is nuts!
@@zachandporter I thought you guys might need that LuBob. I’ll try to pull it aside for you. And that quarter box/3 for a dollar box was loaded! At least for what I was looking for.
Noticed you are using a 1990 Starline Long John Silvers card of Gregg Jeffries for your bookmark. The card you mention not seeing before is a 1964 Topps Football, these are difficult to find in decent condition. The CircleK Mike Schmidt is nice! What show did these cards come from?
Randy! Great to hear from you! Good eye on the Jeffries. I was wondering who was paying attention. And it really is a good book and a quick read. You are correct on the 1964 football. It’s weird that I’ve never seen one before, although I mostly dig around in quarter and lower boxes. Haha. The Schmidt was a great add as I fill out that set. It’s from the monthly Eastgate Mall show on the east side of Cincinnati. A good show if you have time to hit it up! I have a few cards for you that I need to get in the mail.
Dime box ? Nickel box ? It's becoming almost impossible to find even a dollar box at shoes in my area. I have never seen anything lower than a quarter box and those are pretty much ancient history here.
@@chrischeatle6623 I’m lucky. MOST of the shows I go to have at least one guy with a dime box or two. Partly because I only go to the shows that mostly have them. The nickel box was a new guy. His first show setting up and just wanted to liquidate some stuff. I was happy to oblige. If you go back in my videos to November and December you can find some penny boxes! Thanks for watching, and I’ll say some prayers to the patron Saint of baseball cards to deliver you some dime and quarter boxes. We all deserve those.
@@Brotherjcardfinds If you’re buying for value, absolutely. Both are cooked. But these are Topps All-Star trophy cup cards so I picked them up for a nickel in case these are variations that I needed. I think I already had that chrome Lewis, but for a nickel, it never hurts to have a second one.
Interesting Buttersworth card, I love reading classic ads. My favorite was the modern Bob Feller card, and the 50s cards.

@@dimeboxdiscoveries Agreed about Bob Lemon,a lesser known Hall of Famer.
@@diverdave2179 On the plus side for me, he’s a good one to use on Immaculate Grids.

Shots fired 1 min in!! Love it!!😂😂
@@macwaxxstacks Lol. But it seriously is a good book, even if you just read the last half of it picking up with the stuff in the mid-80s.
I would be interested in the Bryce Harper cards
I’m out of town. When I get back in we can work something out I’m sure. I haven’t put them on TCDB for trade yet.

Time to stop buying Kyle Lewis and especially Wander Franco, even out of the nickel box. Just my opinion.
