Some killer penny cards! Grew up and still live in Dayton, and I always appreciate the local/regional love! Agree on the '88 Score, and along those lines I feel like the 93 Donruss Triple Play set is underrated. Nice design and fun inserts. Great vid as always!
You say Dayton and I automatically think of the greater 3B of All-Time, Michael Jack Schmidt. And of course I have plenty of cards of the man, Ron Harper. And I do have several Wright Brother cards. I always pick those up when I see them. But also some love for Steve Yeager. I also have some Bart Simpson cards (voiced by Nancy Cartwright). I need to pick up some Rob Lowe Parks & Rec cards. And why are there no Gordon Jump cards? "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." And you are correct about 1993 Triple Play. Thanks for watching!
So much Penny love! Love that Dick Allen. Gonna love to start adding him and Parker to my HOF boxes. Stengel and Billy Martin bird card are such must haves . Awesome
@@macwaxxstacks Dick Allen and Dave Parker going I together, this is the all bada$$ class. Haha. You don’t want to mess with other one of those dudes. And that Billy Martin card is just fun. Haha
Awesome video and cards Mr Dime Box Discoveries. You got them cards at a good deal. Have a good Thursday to you and until your next video ✌️ Mr Dime Box Discoveries.
Thank you very much! Definitely some fun stuff that fits into my collection nicely, and plenty that will go into the collection's of friends of mine. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for another terrific video. My favorite junk wax era set is 1993 Bowman. Mike Cuellar (pronounced quay-are) was a solid pitcher and 20 game winner for Baltimore. The 19The Giants would not have won the 1971 National League Western Division title without Chris Speier (pronounced spy-er) who nearly batted 700 times as a rookie. The 1971 season was devastating for Reds fans. After winning the pennant in 1970 we fell hard when Bobby Tolan and our key pitchers were hurt so Bob Howsam blew it up with the big trade with Houston. Great buy on the Wonder Bread Jim Otto. The 1966 Giants rookies card is also nice.
THAT's how you pronounce Cuellar? I have been way off my whole life. Lol. But you can't blame me. I use him on Immaculate Grids from time to time. And 71 may have been a disaster, but the bounce back was QUICK and amazing for the Reds. Summers in the 70s must have been an incredible time in Cincinnati. I have another video coming out next week with your stuff in it! I paired it up with some truly ODDball cards that I recently picked up. Haha. I'll check my schedule in the next few months and let you know what shows I'll be at. if you're there we'll have to meet up!
this is my first video watching of yours. i am a newish card collector. really trying to get my card collection into order as i am typing. bought a new card collection from mass when i was there after wedding. so far hoping for big score. i dont hvae much good cards atm and really only pcing redsox. trying to find a good pc collection, maybe like funny name/poses/staches or something. idk, but definitely going to be watching more videos of yours!
@@RichardTharp3 First of all, thank you for watching and joining in the conversation. Happy to have you. My videos aren’t usually this long. Haha. And whatever cards YOU like are the BEST cards! I love where your heads at in terms of the niche PC ideas. I do collect funny names, great photos and “interesting cards”. A friend of this channel, MAC Wax Stacks, PCs mustache cards. Working on a “Mount Stachemore”. Fun channel. Remember, collect what you like. You won’t regret those purchases. ENJOY your collection. Looking forward to your viewership in the future.
@@dimeboxdiscoveries i like the idea of mount stachemore i might have to do something of that with "mullet mountain" or something of that sort lol. i am having a blast so far going through the card. maybe one day ill post something of my purchases on here. maybe not. lol
@@redrum2612 Thank you very much. And your timing is good. I’m hoping to do a “Christmas video” tonight that will go out on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
I forgot to add my TCDB page handle. I'm not doing any trades until after the holidays with a lot going on, but feel free to stop by and check it out. And for those not using TCDB.com let me recommend it as a site to handle all your card sorting needs, My member name is jarchiable.

@@diverdave2179 I hope so, too! Cheaper than going to a movie. And when it’s over you have some baseball cards! And Merry Christmas to you as well.
